Alec saw Maryse and went to her. "Have you spoken with Lydia" he asked.
"No one's seen her since the wedding" Alec said and Maryse didn't answer. "Mom come on" Alec said. "Maryse" Robert said coming over.
"Mom, I understand you're upset but this is" Alec said and Maryse interrupted.
"Calling off the wedding would've been one thing but kissing that miracle in front of the entire institute you've embarrassed all of us" Maryse said.
"Why because she's half Shadowhunter and half downworlder" Alec asked. "No the fact that she's half shadowhunter and half downworlder as you say is the least of my worries" Maryse said.
"Then what's the problem" Alec asked. "That you chose Kelsey Bane" Maryse said.
"Her reputation precedes her even for a miracle she's not just a miracle she's a abomination something that never should have been born she's a disgrace Alec I'm aware you two have been inseparable since the day you met but there's still so much you don't know about her" Robert said.
"Well then I plan to know more about her and if you have a problem with that then I suggest you deal with it and another thing never call Kelsey an abomination in my presence ever again she may be different but she's still human" Alec told them. "Now I have to go find Lydia" Alec said.
"She's probably packing for Idris in your father's office what she did" Maryse said when Alec interrupted.
"Saved my life" Alec said and left as he caught up to Magnus and Kelsey. "On a scale one to ten how unpleasant was it" Kelsey asked as Alec faced her.
"Off the charts yeah I've never seen them so angry" Alec said.
"I never wanted that" Kelsey said sighing. "Just give them some time" Magnus said. "Okay dad I love you, but you don't get to talk your immortal time is on your side" Kelsey told Magnus.
"After what I did, I don't think they'll ever forgive me" Alec said.
"Don't underestimate a parent's love" Magnus said as he looked at Kelsey the one thing, he loved the most in the world.
"Dad can Alec and I talk alone" Kelsey asked and Magnus nodded and left. "You don't regret it do you" Kelsey asked Magnus.
"Because it's okay if you do I get it" Kelsey said. "Everything happened so fast I didn't have time to think I just wanna make sure Lydia's okay now I owe her so much" Alec said.
"I think you mean we owe her what she did was nothing short of heroic" Kelsey said. "Alec" Kelsey said, and Alec looked at her.
"We can slow things down it's okay you know start slow maybe start with that date you owe me" Kelsey said. "Yeah, let's do that" Alec said.
"My dad used to take me to this great Ethiopian place on 44th" Kelsey said as they walked in Robert's office. "Lydia" Alec said once he saw her rushing to her with Kelsey doing the same.
Kelsey checked her pulse. "She's still breathing" Kelsey said. Alec then activated her healing rune.
"Go get help" Alec told Kelsey who nodded and rushed off. "You're gonna be okay" Alec told Lydia. "Hodge" Lydia said weakly.

"Maybe he was attacked too" Izzy said. "Maybe he's the one who attacked her" Kelsey said.
"Hodge no way we've known him our entire lives he would never do that to us" Izzy said.
