9. I Want to Have Fun

I wake up feeling refreshed. Finally, some good sleep. But I don't know what to do now. Lurinyo didn't give me another task, I don't have a job, I don't have money except the small amount Synlie gave me, and I am still unfamiliar with this kingdom. Oh well, I've spent many days in the past idly laying in bed doing nothing, I can do it some more. Though I don't have a phone or television now to entertain myself while I rot away... I can't really fall back asleep either, so I'm forced to get up to end my boredom.

Synlie has already left for work so I bathe alone and put on a new outfit. How odd, she would usually wake me up to bring me along for breakfast... I suppose she thought I needed the extra rest after what I went through. Today's choice is some blue skinny jeans and a white t-shirt. It would be a very basic outfit, but in this world an outfit like this is very unique due to Sally being way ahead of her time for whatever reason.

Now I'm bored but at least I look presentable. The only sources of entertainment in this house are still the weapons Synlie trains with. What do people even do for fun in a time like this? Maybe I should've asked someone that before. Oh well, I have a lot of free time.

I think about my limited options. Synlie is working and definitely wouldn't know what fun is, so she's off the list. I still don't know that much about Aurorus, but she seems like she'd have odd tastes in entertainment. Sally is relatively normal when she's not obsessing over Synlie, so she would be a good choice. Reslin would be the best pick because she's easygoing, popular and basic, so I'm sure she would know a lot. Hiev... I haven't seen her since I embarked on that trip to the cave. It's hard enough to find her, and she's probably worried that we haven't met in over two weeks. I'll have to see her sometime soon to reinforce my connection with her in case I need her help. But with the way she lives, I doubt she'd have any knowledge of fun.

Sally or Reslin... When in doubt, let something else decide. I flip a silver coin. Heads will be Sally and tails will be Reslin. It lands on the insignia of the Xias Knights. Oh, both sides have the same design. That was a stupid idea. And if that idea was stupid, I'll match it with stupidity, so to Sally I go.

I walk to her shop. People stare at me as I go, thanks to this outfit. I hope she isn't using me as an experiment to see how people would like this type of clothing. I'd have to inflict violence upon her if that was the case. I step into the building. For once, she isn't sewing something.

"Would you happen to be free right now, Sally?"

"Heyyyy, bestie! Yeah, I'm free, you need something?"

"I am unaware of what people do for fun. Please teach me."

"Huh? You don't know how to have fun? What's wrong with you?"

"Please teach me." I ignore her and insist.

"I get it, alright! So, to have fun, you can like... Go dancing, or watch a play, or play music. There's some sports you can practice by yourself if you wanna get sweaty, but that's not my stuff. You can head out to some taverns and like, gamble and stuff or just talk to people. Maybe you wanna go and get a hobby like sewing or wood carving. Better yet, stop being lazy and get a job! You'd have something to do then, you know?

"I don't want to work. Come with me and show me places of entertainment. I will die of boredom at this rate."

"Jeez, fine. You're paying though!"

"Sure. I do not mind."

"Huh? How did you get coins? You like, no offense, do nothing."

"Synlie gave me some."

"You're even leeching money off of Syl now?!" Her eyes widen and she points at me. "That's it, let's go right now! Let's find you a way to get out the house! Away from Syl!"
