I opened my eyes as I was met with a white ceiling. Looking beside me, I saw my mother sitting next to me as I sigh softly getting her attention.
"Hey sweetie. How are you feeling?"
"Shit." I told her and she smiles brightly, but still hid the pain and I knew why.
"I'm glad you're alive though. I called your dad, told him what happened."
"Why what happened?"
"You don't remember?" She asks and I shook my head as she sighs and strokes my hair.
"Your...boyfriend told me that you fell down a flight of stairs injuring your ankle because of a loose nail. You hit your head pretty hard too, you might have a concussion."
"Oh." I closed my eyes before looking next to her to see Jasper lying on the couch with his eyes close.
"What about Bella?"
"She's at home with her boyfriend. Phil is...having a talk with them." She tells me and I chuckled knowing how awkward those three will be having with that conversation.
"You never told me you have a boyfriend."
"Mom."
"Alright, alright. You need anything?"
"Water please."
"Okay, I'll be right back and get it." She kisses my head and left the room. Once she closes the door, I grabbed a pillow from the chair she was sitting at and threw it towards Jasper as he caught it and opened his eyes with a smile.
"You really have to fake sleep?"
"I mean I have to act human you know." He sat up and sat down on the chair my mom sat.
"What happened after..." I stopped as he knew what I meant.
"I took the venom out of your system. So, you won't have to worry about being a vampire."
"And James?"
"Dead, my family took care of him. I'm sorry if I wasn't with you. I...I thought I lost you." He mutters as I went to grab his hand and he held it letting me feel his cold touch, but to me, I could feel the warmth.
"I'm alive and you saved me. I'm not going anywhere." I whisper assuringly as he smiles and kisses my hand before looking at me.
"Also." He turns for a moment not letting go of my hand before turning back around revealing the McDonald's bag.
"Oh my god." I laughed as he chuckles and places it to the side.
"Eat it when you feel better." He tells me and I nodded smiling happily.
"Thank you."
"Anything for you darling."
4 weeks later~
"Bella, I can do this you know."
"Oh hush and let me do it for you." She tells me as she zips me up. I did my make up and hair easily, I could also zip me up, but Bella didn't want me to stay standing.
"God, I look so weird."
"Why?"
"I'm in a beautiful dress while wearing a cast and flats, I'm not much of a social butterfly, but I at least know a little bit of fashion."
"Nessa, you came out from a life threatening trauma. You deserve having fun. Besides, you are beautiful. Everyone will be at awe and you will have all the attention.
"Shut up." I rolled my eyes as she giggles and fixes my curled up hair. I wore an A line lavender flower cocktail dress with short sleeves that hung off my shoulder and a spaghetti strap over my shoulder. I looked at my matching flat with a butterfly at the front.
"Ready?" She asks as I turn to her seeing her in a blue dress with her converse shoes.
"Yeah, let's go. You sure you wanna wear those?"
"They're comfortable. Come on." She motions and takes my hand as we both walk out of the room and down the stairs as we heard Charlie talking about protection. I internally face palmed. As we made it down a few steps, Charlie and the two boys look up at us and I carefully made my way downstairs.
"You look... Magnificent, darling." Jasper tells me in awe as we made it down the steps and I blush at his words.
"Not bad yourself." I smiled as he held his arm out and I wrapped my arm around it.
"Uh...I should take pictures." Charlie says smiling as we nodded. Charlie took a couple of pictures before we left to go to our homecoming. Once we made it, everyone's eyes were on me. I felt exposed and embarrassed, but Jasper wrapped his arm around my waist.
"You are beautiful. They are jealous of us."
"Why?"
"Well for one, the girls are jealous of you because of your beauty and wanting to be you, the boys are jealous of me because they wanna be with you." Jasper tells me as I look at him and looked around for a bit before back at him.
"Would you like to go outside? Away from the prying eyes?"
"Please?" I sigh and he nodded as he held his arm out to which I took. We walked outside as I inhaled a breath of fresh air. Jasper looks down at me with a smile as I returned it back.
"Vanessa!" We heard and turned to look to see Jacob talking to Bella while Edward was keeping a close eye. I waved at them as Jacob waves back.
"Come darling." Jasper says as we continue walking towards a beautiful gazebo.
"It's beautiful."
"I'm glad you love it. Care for a dance?" He smiles happily holding his hand out to which I took. We danced around staring in each other's eyes.
"Have I ever told you that I love you?"
"Possibly 3 minutes ago?"
"Well, let me remind you that I love you."
"I love you too." We lean in for a kiss as his cold lips touches mine.
