"There's a shooting star," Eren announced, pointing to the sky.

The two of you were lying down on the sand, staring up at the sky together.

"Where?? I missed it," you searched the sky again, Eren pointed up to where you should look.

You waited...and waited...until you saw it. Your face lit up, it was like a firework but so much better. You and Eren were smiling at the same time, looking up in amazement until it passed.

"Can I...ask you something?" You asked abruptly, per usual, and turned your head to look at him as you lay on the ground together.

"Mhm."

"Does Pieck...have a thing for you? I'm not trying to start anything but it seems like—" before you could finish, he nodded his head.

"She's made a move on me a few times...I don't know if it's true or not but I think Historia told her that I like her and I only refuse her advances because of Jean so she doesn't understand me when I don't reciprocate, she thinks it's just me being nice." Eren answered with a bit of regret in his voice that you felt even worse about.

"I know it's a long shot but what about telling Jean?"

"You want me to tell my friend that his girlfriend has made passes at me? Getting cheated on is fucking terrible and if I'm wrong about how Pieck feels about me or she denies...I'll have ruined a relationship for no reason." He shook his head and looked back up the sky.

"You should still tell him...he deserves to know if he's being cheated on."  You insisted.

"You don't get it...Jean doesn't care what I say about her—"

"Then make him care." You interrupted sharply, he slowly turned his head over and looked at you.

You were all teared up, you sat up when you felt a tear streaming down your face that you wiped away quickly. Your emotions had gotten the best of you all of a sudden, even showing in your tone at how you'd snapped at Eren. He looked at you a little confused, but you felt beyond embarrassed that you let your emotions get the better of you.

"Sorry...I'm sorry," you apologized quickly and got up while actively wiping your face dry even as the tears kept coming.

"Wait y/n—" he called out before you'd left in a hurry down the beach and to the path you came from.

EREN POV:

Everyone was eating breakfast, Jean had a hired chef after the summerhouse that cooked a large breakfast.

Everyone but y/n came down to eat.

Sasha was sitting next to Connie at the table, I sat at the end of it eating in silence as Jean and Pieck held conversation across the table. I don't know what I said that got y/n so upset last night, it happened out of the blue and I didn't know what to say to her.

I couldn't think about the food in front of me, I could barely even taste it. I glanced over my shoulder again, looking to see if y/n would come down but she didn't.

"Sasha is y/n asleep or something?" I blurted out in the middle of her conversation.

"No, she said she just doesn't feel good," Sasha answered but I didn't believe that, I wanted to get up and go knock on her door but I didn't.

I tapped my foot against the floor, I set my fork down, and tried to retrace our conversation to see where I went wrong and upset her.

"Is she going to come down to eat later?" I questioned abruptly again and Sasha shrugged.
