Chapter 12

Birthday Party

I screamed at the top of my lungs while covering my mouth with a pillow. My mind keep repeating the embarassing moment that happened earlier...

Earlier....

"Elara?! Faye?! What are you doing?!" Sigaw ni Ate Tat sa amin with a horror plaster on her face.

Oh uh, she did not misunderstand us. Does she?

I immediately stand up. Felix slowly standing as if everything is normal. Maarte niyang tinanggal ang dumi sa katawan niya at nagflip hair pa siya.

He puts his hands on his waist while his left eyebrow raised. "What do you think were doing merlat? "

I look at him in shock. It is my first time hearing him talking  using gay lingo.

Ate Tat cross her arms and gave us the spill-it look.

"A-Ano ate---" Hindi ko natapos ang sasabihin ko nang sumabat si Felix.

"Hinabol akembang ang sisteret mo. Hindi niya tinapos ang portrait magandang akech. Anik ang iniisip mo?" He said in a girly tone.

She look at us with a meaningful look. Magsasalita sana siya nang lumapit si Felix sa kanya at inakbayan siya. "Tom Jones na aketch. Lafang na tayo?"

Hindi niya inantay na sumagot si ate. He force her to walk away while his arm on her shoulder.

Did they just left me standing here?! He turn his head on me while still walking.

He smile and shouted. "Let's finish it next time, artist!"

Now...

I lay myself on my bed and stare at the ceiling.

"Artist?" I don't understand why, but... I actually kinda... like it.

Today is Tuesday. Today is the 21st birthday of my older siblings. Gusto ni kuya ng simple at secluded ang selebrasyon pero si ate gusto ng bongga at engrande ang birthday nila kasi debut ni kuya.

They both came to the conclusion na secluded ang party at pwede silang mag-invite kung sino ang gusto nilang imbitahan pero engrande ang birthday party nila.

Andito ako sa bahay, nakatunganga. Gusto kasi ni ate na mag-absent ako. At dahil birthday niya ngayon, I accept her request.

Well hehehe, I grab that excuse immediately. Sino naman ang hihindi diba?  Nakakastress kaya ang mag-aral.

Mamayang gabi ang celebration kaya busy ang mga tao sa bahay. Dito kasi sa bahay ang venue.

Kuya Edmund is at work at mamaya pa siya dadating, silang mama at papa naman ay paparating na rito at mukhang mamayang tanghali pa lalanding ang eroplano na sinasakyan nila. Galing kasi sila sa America with business meeting with the investors for a month. Mama left her work in the hospital  just to be beside papa at all times.

I really look up on my parents unconditional love and devotion to each other.

I wish I could have that kind of love.

Bumaba ako upang tingnan ang decorations sa garden. They set up sound system and the tables. They are still beginning to decorate so I came back inside. I'll be back later if they're finish.

Pumunta ako sa kwarto ni ate Tat. I knock then she answered inside. Pagbukas ko ng pintuan, bumungad sa akin ang white and pastel pink color ng kwarto niya. Her room is a little bit more girly than mine. My room is filled with white and terracota to give emphasis with the painting on my ceiling which I painted. My room looks medieval and hers is straight up barbie.
