A Day With Him

Puro sigaw at tawa ang narinig ko sa paligid habang pataas at pababa ang ferris wheel. The exhilerating feeling made my adrenaline rush, making me feel more alive.

I can't help but felt ecstatic and I can see in their faces they feel the same way I feel too. Our ride may be rotating slowly but the idea of going up and down in this type of height really takes us to this exhilirating feeling.

I gaze at his direction and I'm surprise that his eyes meet into mine. Suddenly the world turns silence and as if we are the only here.

Napatingin ako sa ibaba to hide my face turning to beetroot. I am not sure if my heart beats faster because of the ride or because of his eyes.

It may seems dreamy but dang, this i
is always the feeling I felt whenever I see him. I haven't felt this way on Aiden, this feeling is more deeper and its my first time harboring this feeling on a person.

I may like it ...but I'm scared to delve into it. He smiled at me but I look away.

I went silent and Ate Tat seems to notice it. "Ayos ka lang Elara?" She asked.

I nodded and answered, "Okay lang ako ate. I just felt my throat parch with all the screaming."

Ate Tat nodded and continue to scream with her friends until the ride ended.
Natapos ang ride na hindi na ako muling tumingin sa direksyon niya.

Unang bumabas si Felix at ang isa nilang kaibigan na lalaki.

Pagtayo ko ay naramdaman ko na nanginginig ang mga binti ko kaya dahan-dahan akong naglakad palabas sa cabin. Nung nasa pintuan na ako ay bigla akong natisud sa maliit na bakal na harang malapit sa paanan ng pintuan.

Oh no! Mahahalikan ko na ang lupa! I heard screams. I close my eyes and brace for impact. I suppose to hit the ground but rather a body of an actual person! I felt his hand wrap around my waist.

I openy eyes just to see his foxy eyes  looking at me with a sly smile. "Careful on your my artist, I can't afford getting you injured."

I scan at our position and its seems awkward with his arms wrap tightly at my waist. Napatingin ako sa direksyon ni Ate Tat and I see in her eyes shock and confuse especially ang tingin niya ay nakatuon sa kamay ni Felix na nasa baywang ko.

I pushed him immediately. "I didn't know this is your way of thank you. Your welcome by the way." He sarcastically said.

"I---I'm s-sorry. I didn't mean to ---"

"Nah, I'm just kidding, my artist. Doon na man tayo sa roller coaster." Sabi niya at hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at tumakbo papunta sa next ride, leaving his friends and my sister behind us.

I look at his hands grip my hands tightly, as if he never plan to let me go. Tumingin ako sa side view niya. He looks happy and without a care in the world.

I felt my heart beats faster as I am bewitch by his smile. I can't help stopping myself drawn to him even more. His personality, his true self, his everything.

Ganito rin ba kaya siya sa ibang tao?

Napagatanto ko lamang na nasa harapan na kami ng roller coaster nang binitawan niya ako. I'm drown at my thoughts there for a minute.

He wave at Ate Tat and their friends. "Ang bagal niyo naman mga merlat. Mukha kayong mga pagong."

"Shut up bakla. Kanina na kami rito at bago ka pa lang dumating kaya full of energy ka pa." Saway sa kanya ng isa nilang kaibigan na babae.

Napamaywang siya at tinaas ang kanyang kilay. "Huwag kang ngang kj Joyce. Minsan na nga tayo may free time at magpasyal. We should this enjoy this moment." He grab my hand and playfully look at me. "Let's go?"

Before I could even answer, he drag me towards the roller coaster at sumakay. He sit beside me and ate Tat and their friends are on the chairs at the back.

I glance at the formation of the tracks and I felt my back tingle. Actually this is my first time riding roller coaster since the tracks looks scary with its swirl shape.

I'm scared.

Nagulat ako nang may tumapik akin. I look at Felix and his once happy face turns into worried.

"Artist, ayos ka lang?"

Ayaw kong mag-alala siya kaya tinago ko ang takot sa aking ngiti at sinabing... "Ayos lang ako."

"Your face... You look pale."

I wave my hand at him. "I'm alright don't worry."

Naging seryoso ang expression niya. It's my first time seeing him at this state. "Don't lie." He said in a baritone voice.

He seem so serious and as if he'll dig deeper until I answer. I sigh and answered. "I...It's my first time on a roller coaster. I'm... scared."

His eyes soften. "You don't have to lie about that. Pwede naman tayo bumaba---"

I didn't let him finish and with a determination on my face, I said. "No, eventhough this is my first time at takot ako, I still want to try it. I want to conquer my fear."

He smiled widely at me. "That's my artist!"

*Badump*

His words made me smile and courage.

The ride started. I felt the adrenaline rush to my veins. The feeling of going up and down made me scream at the top of my lungs.

I glance at my side, seeing he is enjoying it like me.

I continued to enjoy the ride until the end of it. Lumabas na kami sa roller coaster.

Ate Tat looks like she's gonna puke so I accompanied her to the nearest comfort room.

Sumuka siya sa toilet at hinagod ko ang likod niya.

"Hinding *puke* hindi na ako sasakay sa *puke* 'yun." She rant while vomiting.

"Actually, I kinda like that ride. I may be ride that some time." I said.

She look at me incredulously. "You like the ride or you like it because he is beside you."

I'm taken aback of what she just said. "I... It's not like th--that." I hurriedly said. Tumayo siya at kumuha ng tissue and wipe her mouth. She flush then dumiretso sa sink to wash her hands.

Kinuha niya sa bag niya ang tubig at ininom ito at tiningnan ako ng maigi.

"Elara don't lie. Ano ang relasyon niyong dalawa ni Faye?" She looks so serious.

I shake my head violently. "Wala kaming relasyon ate."

She looks in deep thoughts. "Hmmm... Why is he like that towards you? He is so clingy to you and he talks differently towards you?"

"B-Baka ganyan siya sa akin kasi he is still trying to be friends with me."

"No, hindi siya ganyan na tao. Hindi siya ganyan sa amin nung when we are trying to make friends with each other. He doesn't even wanted to be called Felix on the first day we met. His words are vulgar towards us on the very first day we met but he talks to you like a gentleman do. He is treating you differently, specially."

Napaisip ako sa sinabi niya. What did she mean by that?

She wave her hand and said. "You know what, forget about it lil sis. Baka praning lang ako. Baka hinahanap na nila tayo." At lumabas na siya. Sumunod ako sa kanya but my thoughts is somewhere else.

He is treating me special?

"Artist!!" I look at his direction and he waves at me happily.

My heart flutter with his movement. That made me smile. In this simple gesture, it made me realize that what aye said may be true or not, he have a special place in my heart.
