The View With Him

Silence surrounds us as we walks down the road. He might be silent since I confronted him and I also felt the same way.

Bakit ko nga rin naman siya tinanong ng ganun? He's gay, he's probably like that to his friends.

Yes... Friends. He might think of me as a friend that's why he move and speak with me like that and I blow it up with a misunderstanding. I blow up our chances of becoming friends just because of my hidden feelings. My dumb feelings.

"The skies beautiful today."

Napatingin ako sa kanya ng magsalita siya. Nakatingin lang siya sa kalangitan.

His eyes glisten and his hair dancing with the wind. Plus the sky had a beautiful shade of pink, purple, and orange.

I can't help but in awe with his breathtaking beauty. I want to paint him like this, he looks so carefree.

I look away when I noticed him looking my way.

"Y-yeah."

"I don't think you see what I see."

Nagtaka akong tumingin sa kanya. "Anong ibig mong sabihin? I can see the sky so clearly and I agree with you."

He shook his head as if hindi siya naniniwala sa akin. Are we seeing the same sky or nasa ibang dimension na langit ang ibig niyang sabihin.

"Bahala ka kung hindi ka naniniwala."

Maglalakad na sana ako nang hawakan niya ang kamay.

"Come with me. I'll show you." Bago pa ako makapalag ay hinatak niya ako sa ibang direksyon.

"Felix sa'n mo ko dadalhin?!" Pasigaw kong tanong sa kanya.

"No spoilers!" Tapos tumawa siya.

Hindi ko alam kung mabilis ba ang puso ko dahil sa tumatakbo kami o dahil sa hawak niya ng mahigpit ang kamay ko at tumatawa siya or both.

Hindi ko mapigilang nakatingin sa side view niya, he is grinning widely while his eyes are almost closed but I see a hint of sparkle in his eyes.

"Andito na tayo."

Huh? Andito na kami? We are standing at the top of a small hill. There is only one big tree here at the hilltop. Hindi ko alam na nag-eexist ang lugar na ito sa subdivision.

Hindi ko manlang napansin na umakyat pala kami dahil nakatulala lang ako sa kanya.

Tumingin siya sa akin at may tinuro siya. I followed his hand and I see the most breathtaking yet serene of my entire life living.

A lake is surrounded by a green luscious pasteur and a mountain as its background. The lake reflects the colors of the sky giving a vibrant look at the surrounding.

I unknowingly let go of his hand and walk front to watch the view.

"Do you like the view?"

Tumingin ako sa kanya at sinabing, " 'Like?' No like is an understatement of what I am feeling right now. Look at the view, it is breathtaking and stunning!"

I know I'm a bit exagerating here but this is what I'm feeling right now while looking at the view.

Natawa siya sa sinabi ko. "I know you'll love this place, artist."

"How did you find this place?"

"Well, as much as I hate him. My mother and him bought this place to build a house in the pasteur. Pero nung naging workaholic siya, naging bakanteng lote lang ito at tumira kami sa condominium. When I turned to a legal age, he gave me this whole vacant land." Casual niyang sabi.
