Robb's hand hadn't removed from mine and Chezney was standing on the other side of the bed.  While Maesters and midwives had rushed into the room on Walder Frey's command all trying to figure out why I was bleeding.

"Have you had discomfort before now?"

Another asked me. "Are you sure this isn't just your monthly visitor?"

"Did you tear something on the ride over here?"

But the question from Lady Catelyn is the one that nearly turned my entire body the color of a ghost. "Are you pregnant?"

"Lady Catelyn, I-"

Robb cut me off not knowing the lie I had been keeping from him. "Not exactly, mother."

"I'd like a moment alone to speak with my family." Catelyn commanded the men and women before they rushed out of the room leaving the three of us alone in the room. "Now tell me what exactly do you mean by she's not exactly pregnant.  You told me you had sent a letter to Lord Velaryon saying we needed his help and that she was carrying your child or do you mean to tell me it was all a lie?"

"Haelesa said that a small lie like that could easily persuade him to join our side.  I'm doing things that I'm not proud of so that the North can be free from the monsters of the South." Robb attempted to defend me.

His mother rolled her eyes. "She's lying to you. I bet it has something to do with her Kingslayer husband."

"I'm her husband now."

She ran a hand down her face sighing heavily. "My sweet boy, you think that she's loyal to you but I highly doubt that.  Your young heart isn't suited for betrayals yet."

"Mother, she's been loyal to me since the day we reunited at our campsite." Robb didn't understand what she had said to him.

His mother snapped back at her eldest son. "She can't be trusted.  Nothing a Lannister says is ever true.  Regardless of how you feel about her, she is lying.  So stop this nonsense and tell my son what you have been keeping from my son you little bitch!"

"She's my wife, mother.  You shouldn't speak to her that way." Robb removed my hand from his, stomping up to his mother.

Clutching my eyes closed I blurted out the words into the air. "The baby might be Jaime's!" Robb and his mother both turned their heads in my direction completely stunned by my words.

"My lord, my lady.  The maesters finally figured out what the bleeding was.  She had a miscarriage."

Lady Stark whipped her head around. "Thank you for the information. Now please leave us."

"Haelesa, what exactly were you saying about the baby?" Robb knitted his brows walking back over to me, sitting down on the edge of the bed.

Shifting my body more upright on the pillows behind me I sucked in a breath just staring at him trying to figure out how I should tell him the situation exactly.  This would ruin our relationship for the rest of our lives, but I prayed that even if he would be mad he'd at least let me remain in his camp not as a prisoner.  "Robb,  when I told you I slept with Jaime one time it wasn't entirely true.   Until we both found it enjoyable and did it a few more times."

"Mother, leave the room." Robb growled.

She began to speak. "Robb-"

"I said leave us!"

She did as instructed, sending me glare over her shoulder shutting the door and it took me a minute before I uttered another word. "Robb, please let me explain-"

"How in the hell do you think this is something you can explain your way out of!"

I parted my lips. "I - I don't know.  I just - I didn't want to hurt you this way."

"Well you did, Hael!" The young wolf raised his deep voice at me. "Here I have been putting my trust in you and letting you have my whole heart and you've just thrown it all away."

I attempted to shift myself forward in the bed but winced, feeling a soreness from my abdomen from where I had to flush the baby out of my system to get the bleeding to stop. "I'm so sorry.  I don't even have any romantic feelings for him.  I swear you are the one and only man that I love."

"So when were you planning on telling me?  Before or after the baby was born and it would be so obvious who the father really was.   A golden lion and a Velaryon seahorse combined together.  Not a seahorse and a direwolf." Robb throws his hands up in the air outraged at what he was just learning.  He hated that his mother seemed to be right when she said even people who marry into the Lannister family cannot be trusted.

I sniffed through heavy tears that had begun falling down my face. "I have been wanting to tell you.  I just - I was terrified that you'd kill me and Jaime if you found out.  And I'm sorry to say this but if he hadn't brought me with him I'd be trapped in Kings Landing just like your sisters with the Queen."

"And yet knowing that you still kept this huge secret from me.  You've weakened my heart and my trust in you.  I can't trust you anymore, Haelesa." He turned on his heels heading towards the door to leave.

Pushing through the discomfort I didn't care what the maester had told me and that I should be on bed rest until I healed some more.  Collapsing beside the bed I forced myself to my feet hopping over to him managing to grab his wrist before he could leave. "Robb,  I never meant to hurt you.  And I know right now you probably want to kill him, but please don't."

"Why the hell shouldn't I kill him!" He growled getting in my face.

I blurted out something his mother had previously said to him. "You can't leave your sisters in the Queen's hands.  I know you don't want to hear this from me but your mother was right.  Trading Jaime Lannister for them may be our best shot at winning the war."

"That plan can't possibly work.  Tywin would never surrender."" He shook his head in disbelief.

Squeezing his wrist that I was holding onto I met his deep gray eyes. "Then do the next best thing.  Take his home away from him."

"He wouldn't be seen as so powerful anymore.  Casterly Rock is the key to winning the war."

"Where are you going now?" I asked him hoping he would agree with what I was saying and not kill the only real leverage he had on our side.

"To pay the Kingslayer a visit." Robb yanked his hand from my grasp grabbing a hold of the door handle.  He yelled to his guards that were standing just outside the hallway. "Don't let her leave until I return.  Make sure she's guarded day and night!"

I went to follow after him but shut the door in my face. "Robb!-"
