Haelesa's POVTwisting the last piece of my braid I let it slip from my hands and over my right shoulder. Today we were to attend Robb's Uncle Edmure's wedding that he had arranged with one of Walder Frey's daughters. Brushing my hands down my gown I sighed looking myself over in the small mirror table mirror hearing someone walking up to the tent entrance for me to see Tyrion come inside. "Haelesa, I have been needing to speak with you. You and your husband should avoid going to this wedding tonight." I had decided to wear a light gray gown that had sea green colors scattered across it with the sleeves being short.
"Tyrion, we have to go. We are trying to ensure that Lord Frey will keep his word and help us face off against your family." I turned my attention to the dwarf who had entered my tent.
His green eyes filled with concern. "I beg of you to listen to me. This wedding is a trap set up by my father. He wants to kill your husband to win the war."
"What do you suggest we do if we must attend? We've already broken a promise to the Lord and it won't end well if we break another oath to him."
He takes my hands in his standing before me. "Haelesa, please trust me. Don't go into this wedding unarmed."
"Tyrion, Robb won't let me have a dagger. I can't carry my sword if I wanted to in my current condition." Gesturing to my pregnant belly by lowering my eyes down and his gaze followed mine getting my point.
He reached inside his tunic jacket drawing out a smaller dagger with a golden lion on the handle. "I gave one to Chezney as well. Take this and hide it inside your boot."
"I don't think - okay, I'll take it." I began to integrate till I saw the puppy dog eyes he was giving me.
He held it out in his open palm and I slid it from his hand, hiding it inside one of the boots I was wearing. "Don't let the game trick you, Little Velaryon." Tyrion suddenly hugged my stomach so I bent down hugging him for quite some time.
Once reaching Frey castle the wedding was a sweet ceremony even if I felt bad for young Roslin who didn't even know Edmure before she married him unlike me and Robb. It was time for the wedding feast which was very nice. It was a nice change to the daily amount of war discussion or worry that we face every time. Chezney and Tyrion were gossiping about something beside me until my attention was pulled away by my husband getting up from his chair, offering me an open hand. "Would you like to dance, my Queen?"
"I'd love to." Placing my hand in his I grinned up at the young wolf while he led me out onto the open dance floor.
Robb slides one hand on my lower back while his other hand stays intertwined with mine. My freehand went onto his shoulder before our feet glided across the floor following the rhythm of the music. My gown flew up into the air when we spun around a few times, grins plastered on our faces enjoying the simple moment.
Robb twirled me underneath his arm and back into his embrace where my hands ended up on his chest. A huge grin was plastered across my lips and he mirrored the same expression before we saw the Lord hosting us rise from his chair with glass in hand meaning we had to rush back to our seats. "Your grace. The Septon has prayed his prayers, some words were said, and Lord Edmure has wrapped my daughter in a cloak. But - they are not yet man and wife. A sword needs a sheath. And a wedding needs a bedding."
"If you think the time is right, Lord Walder, by all means, let us bed them." Robb declared holding my right hand in his smiling in my direction. This caused every man in the room to cheer rushing over and carrying the young bride out of the room. Edmure was led out by all the young ladies with the doors closing behind them.
"I don't regret that it's not happening to me." Leaning over I whispered to my best friend noticing an article of clothing from Roslin's dress was thrown onto the floor.
Chezney nodded her head hearing Robb's mother muttering. "Poor girl."
"Every bride suffers the same." Lord Bolton standing by Lady Stark spoke. "I'm sure you endured yours with grace."
"Oh, Ned forbade it. He said it wouldn't be right if he broke a man's jaw on our wedding night."
I lightly chuckled under my breath hearing the double doors closing shut and for some reason got locked and the music changed to a more somber tone I somewhat recognize. "Chez, do you hear that?"
"That's a sad song for a wedding." She responded.
Quickly shifting my gaze to her lover Tyrion he sent me a terrified look. "The ballad of House Lannister." I recalled hearing it in a much joyful tone during my wedding to Jaime.
Gently shaking my husband's shoulder getting his attention. "What's wrong, Hael?"
"Robb, we need to go. Something's not right here."
He scanned my face not understanding why I had suddenly got nervous. "Why? What's going on?"
"I think Lord Frey is going to -"
"Your Grace. I feel I've been remissing my duties. I've given you meat and wine and music, but I haven't shown you the hospitality you deserve. My king has married and I owe my new queena wedding gift." Walder Frey declared once the music had died down, cutting our conversation short.
Catelyn rose from her chair, slapping Lord Bolton across the face and gaining her son's attention. "Robb!"
"Ahh! - seven hells!" Someone came up behind me holding my shoulder attempting to stab me in the stomach yet I grabbed his wrist harshly, twisting his arm and shoving his own knife into stomach. "Chez, get down!"
"Oh my god." She screamed, dropping underneath the table. Robb sharply turned his head standing in front of the table seconds before two different crossbow arrows hit him. One in his knee and the other in his left shoulder.
"Robb!" One of the Frey archers Frey's their next arrow with it heading straight for me. I went to duck yet it didn't hit me so I quickly shifted my gaze upward seeing the arrow get launched into someone else.
Tyrion shouted hiding behind one of the chairs, ducking when arrows flew past his head. "Chezney!"
"Chezney! No, no, no." I screamed at the top of my lungs noticing an arrow sticking in her stomach while she had jumped right in front of me so that I didn't lose my baby I was carrying.
