Haelesa's pov
Rocking back in a wooden rocking chair I gripped the small scrolled letter in my hands. I hadn't stopped reading it over and over again since Robb had left our tent to get some cells and empty tents prepared for the incoming Baratheon army.
I was fearful that Renly would hurt my best friend and Tyrion before they reached our war camp. Neither of them deserves that regardless of the family they come from in my opinion.
Scanning over the words written on the parchment so engrossed with what it said I didn't even notice when the tent flap was thrown open and my husband had entered till I heard him speak. "I don't think you'll suddenly transport to where they are the longer you stare at that letter."
"I don't like the nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach that Renly is hurting them." I admitted lifting my gaze up from the paper once I sat upright in the chair.
Robb crossed the room until he was standing directly in front of me, eyeing my swollen belly then trailing his gaze up to meet mine. "If Renly lays a hand on either of them I'll make sure he doesn't make the same mistake again. How are you feeling?"
"I've been better. But unfortunately I don't think you can fix any of my problems."
Robb lowered himself onto his knees folding the letter sitting it on the nearby table covered with battle maps scattered all over. Next he gently took my small hands in his larger ones. "What ails you, dear wife?"
"I threw up twice this morning, I'm constipated and my ankles are swollen." I listed holding up three fingers on my dominant right hand. "Unfortunately from the research I have gathered these ails won't go away until the baby or babies are born."
Robb tilted his head curiously. "Babies. Do you suppose there's more than one?"
"There could be. I mean look at me I look like a walking balloon." I held up my hands gesturing to my large belly. I couldn't even really fit into my dresses anymore. I had begun wearing more of Robb's clothes than my own, not that I minded too much though.
My husband rested a hand to the side of my cheek. "You're still beautiful in my eyes."
"You're just saying that."
He sent me a look. "No, I'm not. I mean it, Hael. You are beautiful inside and out."
"Thank you, my wolf." I rested my forehead down against his crying soft tears that he wiped away with his freehand before we were interrupted by one of our guards coming in.
"Apologies, my King, My Queen. Renly Baratheon is approaching with his army."
Robb and I separated from one another where he got up from the ground first and offered me his hands to help me stand up afterwards. We followed the guard outside the tent to see an army of horses sniffing riders coming towards us from a distance. Robb glanced back at me, seeing a nervous expression on my face, reaching down he intertwined our hands. "Don't worry about Chezney and Tyrion."
"It's hard not to, especially when it's us deciding what happens to them." I turned my head, throwing some of my loose white hair over my shoulders. "Robb, I should have told you about Chezney's letters. We just - I just wasn't sure how you would react."
He bluntly asked me. "Do you think that he's here to help us or is he here as a spy for his family?"
"Tyrion loves his family as you do yours. But he certainly wishes he got the same love back in return like we do from the people we love. So from what I know about him he would do whatever he needs to ensure that Chezney is spared."
