Author note - I'm sorry this chapter is short. But I'm happy to put out another update for this story. Comments really appreciated ❤️ XOXODessyGirl
Sitting on one of the crates on my father's ships I kicked my legs back and forth just watching the water out in front of me. The bannermen following us had all kept their complaints about us sparing Tyrion and Chezney to themselves recently. The weeks before now it was all we ever heard from their mouths, so I was happy for the chance.
"Are you sure your lord Husband would approve of you being out here in this state of your pregnancy?" Hearing my fathers voice I glanced over my shoulder seeing him coming to stand directly beside me.
"Robb has much more important things to take care of than my whereabouts, father."
He met my gaze softly. "I'm just reminding you that you have to be careful. Your due date is approaching fast."
"I wish my only fear would be will I deliver when my husband is fighting our final battle in this war. Sadly there's more at stake than when I will provide him with a son or a daughter."
My father sighed, running a hand over his stubbled chin. "You're mother would love to see you like this happy, pregnant and able to give us grandchildren."
"Robb's father would have liked to meet his grandchildren too." I muttered softly knowing that we each had lost a parent that we would miss every day until we died.
Footsteps approached us from behind where we both turned our heads seeing one of the Stark men bowing to us with a message. "My Queen. Lord Velaryon. King Robb has informed me he is ready to speak to the prisoners - uh forgive me. He wishes to speak with the new allies if you are ready as well. I can escort you to him."
"I'm ready to meet with them now." My father helped me down from the crate and I followed the Stark man until I entered my husband's war tent. Robb was already waiting for me with my best friend and Tyrion sitting at the other end of the war table. Walking across the room I took a seat in the chair by my husband's side. "So what have you been talking about while waiting for me, hmm?"
"Nothing truly. We have been waiting for you to get here before we begin our discussion." Robb explained briefly holding my hand in his before he shifted in his chair showing a more serious expression to the other couple in the room. "Lord Tyrion, Lady Chezney. We spared your lives for a reason. You know about our enemies in this war and so I need whatever valuable information you can provide me and my Queen."
Chezney put her hands in her lap now wearing a cleaner sea green dress with her hair pinned up in a bun. "I'd like to apologize another time, my King. I never wanted to betray your trust by falling for Tyrion."
"We're not here to discuss the past, Chezney. This is about changing the future of the North." My husband reminded the girl at the other end of the table.
Tyrion tapped his fingers nervously on the table clearing his throat before he spoke out. "Lord Stark, I know what you're wanting from me. You want me to spill the defense secrets of my family so that you and your family can win this war. Where - where would you like me to start?"
"What's the next attack they are planning on the battlefield?" Robb questions him.
"The next attack doesn't occur on the battlefield, Lord Stark. It has to deal with your alliance with Walder Frey."
"What is he planning?" I asked the dwarf not having a good feeling about this at all.
"Roose Bolton is allied with him, Haelesa."
Robb glared at the youngest Lannister with a scowl. "Get to the point, Lannister!"
"The Bolton's and the Frey's are teaming up to kill you." Tyrion lowered his gaze to his hands momentarily, before he would meet my gaze again. "They plan to kill you and your bannermen at the upcoming wedding."
"Wedding. What Wedding?" Sparing a glance to my husband I wasn't following what he had just told us.
Robb jumped up from his chair calling to the guards standing outside the tent listening in on our conversation. "Guards, escort our guests back to their tents now."
"Yes, my King." The two guards took my best friend and Tyrion each by the arm leading them outside, giving me and my husband the space all to ourselves.
Hearing the flap close behind the guards I whipped my head around to my wold husband. He was standing over his chair staring off into the distance directly in front of him. "Robb. Robb. Robb - Robb!" Gently shaking him by the arm he didn't respond so I shook him harder while raising my tone.
"What - what - what is it?" He asked slightly in a panic when I pulled him from whatever trance he was in.
"What Wedding is happening that I don't know about. By all the gods and men don't tell me you are planning to marry off my best friend to one of that old man's sons!"
Robb sensed my nerves bringing me into his embrace the minute he saw tears from my eyes. "Sssh I'd never do such a thing. I know how much she means to you, Hael."
"Then why didn't you tell me about it before I had to hear it from Tyrion. Why?" Meeting his blue orbs I croaked out a question.
My husband gently cupped my face in his hands, kissing my forehead gently as possible. "I just made the decision to have my uncle Edmure marry one of his daughters since the other girls aren't ready for marriage yet. I knew you had been worrying about Chezney and Tyrion lately so I didn't want to add onto your plate."
"Listen to me, Robb. We are married. That means you don't have to spare my feelings from everything, especially when it comes to fighting this war." Gripping the fabric of his tunic in my fingers , focusing my gaze on his intensely.
Robb leans forward connecting my lips with his own. "I won't leave you out of the loop again."
"Thank you." I whispered into the kiss. I had an odd feeling about what Tyrion had told I about the Freys and Bolton's teaming up. Robb and I needed to be extra careful when attending that wedding for sure.
