Death responded, “Because you are a beautiful lie and I'm a painful truth.”

Spencer could feel the soft blades of grass under her fingers, a bright light was shining down on her. She reached her hand up, shading her eyes as she opened them.

The bright sun was over her but unlike in the scorch it wasnt boiling hot instead she could feel a slight breeze running over her body. There was small chatter and laughter around although she couldn't see from who as she was still laying down.

She propped herself up onto her elbows seeing teen boys running around everywhere, some young and some old. There was this one child she could see that looked no older than 12 with brown curls, he seemed to be the youngest there.

Spencer scrambled to her feet looking around, four walls just like in the maze. Only difference was that there was no opening, nothing that led them out of there and it was larger.

Did Wicked put her back in the maze? She swore that she had killed herself before turning into a crank, at least that was what she remembered.

Before she could think anymore on it she saw a familiar boy in the distance talking to a taller blonde that she definitely didn't know.

“Winston?” Spencer muttered under her breath.

It took her a second before she started running over to him, gaining the attention of a few boys but she wasn't bothered about them. When she reached him, Winston and the boy were already looking at her.

“Winston?” Spencer spoke louder this time, “How are you here?”

She looked over him for any injuries but he looked perfectly fine like he hadn't even been infected.

“Hey Spencer, it's good to see you again.” Winston ignored her question.

“This is spencer?” The blonde boy looked at Winston then back at her, “Hi im Ben i've heard a lot about you.”

Spencer looked at Ben then at Winston she was really confused on what was going on. A million questions were running through her head.

How was Winston here? Where exactly is here? Who are all these boys? Wasn't she supposed to be dead? Wasn't Winston supposed to be dead?

Winston could see that she was having trouble trying to figure out what was going on. He gave her a small smile before looking around for the young curly haired boy that was running around.

“Chuck!” Winston shouted, “Come here for a second.”

Spencer looked to see the young curly haired boy she had noticed before, running up to the three of them. Chuck.

Thomas spoke about a small boy named Chuck that was in his maze, he cared a lot about the boy. Another thing she knew was that Thomas said Chuck was dead.

Spencer was supposed to be dead yet here she was. Winston was supposed to be dead yet here he was. Chuck was supposed to be dead but here he was.

“Hey Winston. What ya need?” Chuck grinned.

Spencer thought it was like a sweet ball of joy wrapped in a blanket and put inside a young 12 year old boy.

“This is Spencer.” Winston gestured to her.

“Spencer?” Chuck looked confused before a look of realisation crossed his face, “Ohh I'll go get him.”

He didn't give her anytime to say anything before he ran off. Spencer looked back to Winston and Ben.

“What's going on? Where are we?” She looked around.

There was a garden where veg was growing, trees with fruit, and small buildings around them. The teen boys were still running around all smiling and looking like they didn't have a care in the world.
