The house was quiet. I was laying in bed, waiting for my mom to go to sleep. After a few minutes I finally heard the light switch turn off in her bedroom.
That was my cue.
I got out of bed and grabbed my backpack from underneath my bed. I slowly opened my bedroom window, carefully, not wanting to wake up my mom.
I climbed out the window and crawled against the wall on to the roof of the the house. On the roof, I quickly slipped into my familiar red and black suit.
After I put my mask on, I jumped off the roof and shot my webs to swing myself through the night sky of New York City.

With one final swing I landed smoothly on the Empire State Building, My favorite place in the City. Whenever I needed to relax, I always came here. It's been my safety spot, ever since I've become The Red Spider.
I put off my mask to enjoy the view better. I inhaled deeply, breathing in the cold hair, clearing my head.
I couldn't relax for long when I suddenly heard loud sirens. I looked in the distance and saw three men exiting the bank, carrying bags. I assumed they had just robbed the place.
I quickly put my mask back on and took off, swinging myself back into the air.
the police were already after the criminals, but lost sight of them when they entered the darker streets of the city.
I was swinging high above them, having a clear view of the robbers. I followed the three men and saw that they were sneaking into a dark alley.
I quietly landed on a small building just above them and peeked down. The three men were all dressed in black and had black masks on.
One of them took his mask off. "I think we lost them"
The other two guys did the same. "Dumbasses" the smallest guy laughed and the other two joined in.
I decided to have a little fun. "I think you three are the dumbasses"
The three men looked confused around them. "Who said that?"
"I'm up here" I waved, trying to get their attention. It took them a couple of seconds before they noticed I was standing on the building.
They gave each other amusing looks. "We're not scared of a little girl in a Halloween costume" the shortest one chuckled.
I smirked. "I give you three two options: hand over the money, peacefully, or-" I did a front flip off the building, landing smoothly on the ground, "-get your asses kicked" I took on a fighting position.
"We're not giving you anything" one of them pulled out his knife and lunged at me with it.
I easily dodged all of his attacks, using my quick reflexes. He tried aiming for my shoulder, but missed, which gave me the opportunity to shoot a web at his leg. With the web stuck to his leg, I was able to pull his leg forward, causing him to fall flat on his back, dropping the knife. I punched him in his face, making him lose consciousness.
One of the other guys try to make a run for it. I shot two webs at his back and yanked him backwards, making him fly against the wall. He grunted in pain. I quickly webbed him up against the wall so that he couldn't escape.
I turned around and saw that the third guy had picked up the knife. "Let's see if your better with a knife than your other buddy" I smirked, motioning to the guy laying on the ground.
He run op to me, waving the knife around like it was a samurai sword. I dodged all of his attacks until he eventually had me cornered against the wall.
I saw the sharp object coming towards my face, but I quickly ducked and slid through the man's legs. He turned around, but before he could react his face was met with my fist. He grunted in pain, and I kicked the knife out of his hand. I shot web, after web, after web, webbing him against the wall. I used so much webs that he couldn't move anymore.
I wiped my hands clean with a smug grin. "This sure was fun guys. I would love to stay and chat, but I have to get up early tomorrow"
"This isn't over, Red Spider"
I turned to one of the guys who was webbed up against the wall. "Maybe not. But it is for today" I smirked and crawled my way up on the building.
"You're gonna pay for this!"
Was the last thing I heard before I swung away, back home.

I landed on the roof of the house and crawled down to my bedroom window. I slipped inside, trying to make as little sound as possible.
I took of my suit, stuffed it back in my backpack, and hid it under my bed. I quickly got in my PJs and crawled back into bed.
As I tried to fall asleep, I kept twisting and turning in my bed. Something kept echoing in my head.

I tried to brush it off and eventually felt myself dozing of into a deep sleep.
