"She gave you her number?"
Me, Evan and Ariana were walking home from school. I had just told them what had happened during history class and you could say, they were just as surprised as I was.
"Technically, I gave her my number" I corrected Evan. "But it's just for the assignment"
The twins gave each other amusing looks. I raised my eyebrow. "What?"
"Honestly Red, sometimes you're so clueless" Ariana told me. I had no idea what she was talking about. Clueless about wat?
We eventually arrived at the twins house. "See you tomorrow, Red" they waved me goodbye before they headed to their front door.

I closed the front door behind me. "Mom! I'm home!"
The house was silent. I knew she wasn't home, but I guess a small part of me wished she was. I threw my school bag somewhere in the corner and I plopped down on the couch.
I looked around the living room, it was a total mess. I saw dozens of empty pizza boxes, dirty plates, knives and forks, plastic take out bags and dirty clothes.
I was used to it. My mom was hardly ever home, so she rarely cleaned the house.
I sighed, deciding to clean up the dirty dishes and food scraps before our house started to attract mice.
I was almost done shoving the last pizza box in the garbage when I suddenly heard my phone buzz. I walked to my bag and fished it out of the front pocket. I got a text message from someone.

I read. I was confused at first but then my heart started beating faster, it was from Chloe. I couldn't believe she texted me already. What was I suppose to text back?
Just, do something simple.

My heart skipped a beat when I read the word 'date'. Was I hallucinating or was she flirting with me? Nah, she's probably like that with everyone she texts, right?
I couldn't help but smile like an idiot. I sat down on the couch, this time a lot happier and turned on the tv.
"...The Red Spider struck again last night. The vigilante caught three men when they robbed a bank last night, at around 1 am. The police found the three men webbed up in an alley this morning, with the stolen bags of money..."
