Erik Lehnsherr and Devana Finley were two lost souls who were combined in their hatred for one man and their distrust of others. They were antiheroes at the best of times and villains at the worst of times but they didn't really care. Whatever it took to get revenge.

That night, Erik and Devana snuck into the file room and grabbed the file on Sebastian Shaw before nodding to each other and leaving the building. They had made it not five feet away from the building when someone spoke from behind them. "What I know about you, I'm surprised you two have managed to stay this long."

Erik stopped and turned around "what do you know about us?"

"Everything," Charles spoke causing Erik and Devana to bristle not liking that someone they knew almost nothing about knew everything about them.

Devana smirked as she turned around as well, "then you know to stay out of our heads."

Erik and Devana started to walk away when Charles spoke again. "I'm sorry Erik and Devana, but I've seen what Shaw did to you both." Erik and Devana stopped in their tracks and turned around. "I felt your agony. I can help you. I can help both of you."

Erik whirled around to face Charles "I don't need your help."

Charles scoffed "don't kid yourself. You needed my help last night." Charles walked closer to Erik and Devana "it's not just me you're walking away from. Here you have the chance to be part of something much bigger than yourself." Erik and Devana just stared at him "I won't stop you leaving. I could but I won't."

Erik and Devana looked at each other before Devana created an energy forcefield around them so that they could talk without Charles getting into their heads. "What do you think?"

Erik looked at Devana "I don't know. All I know is that I want Shaw."

"I know," Devana nodded before chancing a glance back at the door Charles had just walked through. "Who says we can't use these other mutants to get to Shaw and then go our own way? Shaw's got friends, we could do with some."

Erik sighed and nodded "alright, but I don't trust or like them. And I also don't trust the CIA."

"I know," Devana nodded. "Neither do I." Erik sighed and nodded before both mutants headed back inside and to bed.

The next day, the mutants all decided that training would be a good idea especially when their powers were all so volatile but first they needed to recruit more mutants. While Erik and Charles were recruiting mutants, Devana was practicing with her energy knives.

Devana was practicing her aim and her speed in creating the knives. She kept going until she could call her knives at the flick of a finger and hit the bullseye every time even when she wasn't looking.

"That's impressive," she startled when she heard someone coming from behind her. Devana turned around and noticed it was the agent who was running Division X. "You could be dangerous with that."

"That's the point," Devana chuckled. "If I want to get Shaw I need to be as dangerous as possible."

The agent nodded and then someone came out and spoke "the recruits are here."

Devana walked inside the meeting room and looked around. The beautiful woman who was here earlier was here and spoke excitedly "I want Mystique."

Raven looked at Darwin "what about you?"

"Well, Darwin is already a nickname plus it kind of fits." He walked over to the fish tank and stuck his head in gaining gills to most of the other's surprise.

The next one named Sean spoke "I'll be Banshee," he stood up and told everyone to cover their ears. All of the mutants did and he made a high-pitched sound shattering the window glass.

Alex then spoke "I can show you but I can't do it in here." Everyone watched as Alex went outside and released energy that sawed the statue in half.

Raven then turned to Devana "and you should be Huntress because of your perfect aim and energy abilities." She then turned to Erik who walked in "and you're Magneto because of your ability with metal."

It fit for both of us. I was less happy with fooling around while trying to get to Shaw but I found myself not minding the nickname as I looked to Erik with a shrug.
