Revenge is a fickle thing, most people know that. It's a negative emotion that people hold onto and don't let go of.

Devana and Erik had always thought of what it would be like to face Shaw but now that it was closing in, neither were sure if they had what it took. They had been chasing revenge for so long but they weren't sure what waited on the other side in other words, they were scared of what would happen after.

The next morning all of them suited up in the yellow jumpsuits and headed to the aircraft and took to the air. They headed to Cuba and gasped as they saw Cuban and American ships heading straight toward each other with no sign of stopping.

Erik and Devana looked at each other with apprehension. A silent question of whether they were with each other as they noticed the guns on each side aim for the other. Erik looked at Devana "are you with me?"

"I am," Devana nodded as they flew over the American ships. It was then that they noticed the lone ship. "There." Devana pointed out. "That ship crosses the Embargo line, it will be blown up and World War III begins."

Hank turned the plane and headed for the rogue ship. Charles got into the mind of the pilot and fired a missile toward the Rogue ship taking it out. "Nice job. Made the Russians fired on his own ship."

Erik sighed "we need to find Shaw."

Charles listened for a moment "I still can't find him. Hank?"

"He's not showing up on the scanners," Hank looked back at the others. "He must be underwater and we don't have Sonar."

Sean looked at the others "yes we do." Erik, Devana, and Charles looked at each other nodding before helping Sean get ready. Sean jumped out of the plane and dove into the water.

Charles connected his mind to Sean and smiled "Banshee got a location on Shaw." He turned to Erik and Devana "you ready for this?"

Erik and Devana exchanged glances before looking back at Charles as Erik spoke "let's find out."

Erik and Devana hung on the wheels of the plane as it lowered closer to the water. Erik looked back at Devana and nodded. Devana nodded back and allowed her hand and eyes to glow gold.

Erik stuck out his hand first, latching onto the submarine under the water as Devana joined him once she saw the submarine coming above the water. She allowed her energy to lighten the load on Erik and wrap around the submarine locking everyone on the inside even Azazel.

Erik continued raising it into the air and both mutants looked at each other before smiling and looking back at the submarine strengthening their grip on it.

The Cuban and American generals all watched stunned as the submarine was lifted in the air wrapped in a gold forcefield before Hank moved the plane faster toward shore.

They set both the plane and the submarine down on the shore as Charles spoke quickly "I read the teleporter's mind. Shaw's drawing all of the power out of the sub. He's turning himself into some sort of nuclear bomb."

Charles spoke quickly to Erik and Devana "I can guide you both through once you're in but I need you to stop whatever it is that's blocking me. Then we just hope to god it's not too late for me to stop him."

Erik and Devana ran for the submarine and Erik ripped the door off flattening one of the mutants standing guard. "Erik, Devana, head for the center of the vessel, that's the place where my mind can't penetrate. We have to assume that's where Shaw is." Erik and Devana nodded as they ran inside making sure to keep their hands out and their powers on just in case.
