Seungcheol and Mingyu, along with their parents, were on their way to Jeonghan's house for the first official family meeting. The atmosphere in the car was a mix of excitement and nerves, with Seungcheol driving and their parents chatting in the back seat. Mingyu, sitting in the passenger seat, could sense his brother's tension.

"Are you nervous?" Mingyu asked, glancing at Seungcheol.

"A bit," Seungcheol admitted, his eyes fixed on the road. "It's a big day. Our families meeting for the first time."

Mingyu grinned, trying to lighten the mood. "Relax, hyung. They’re going to love Jeonghan and his family. Besides, you’ve got me to lighten things up."

Seungcheol chuckled despite his nerves. "That's what I’m afraid of."

In the back seat, their mother chimed in. "Mingyu, be nice. This is an important day for your brother."

Mingyu turned to face his parents. "Don't worry, Mom. I’ll be on my best behavior. But I can't promise I won't tease Seungcheol a little."

Their father laughed. "A little teasing never hurt anyone. Besides, it's good to keep things light."

As they approached Jeonghan's house, Mingyu continued to tease Seungcheol. "You know, this is a big step. If things go south, we might end up as those families who only meet during holidays and throw shade at each other."

Seungcheol laughed, trying to ease his nerves. "Trust you to think of the worst-case scenario."

When they arrived at Jeonghan's house, the door opened to reveal Jeonghan and his family waiting to greet them. The house was warm and inviting, with a well-maintained garden and a cozy interior. Jeonghan’s parents welcomed them warmly, and Jeonghan’s brother, Wonwoo, stood quietly to the side.

Introductions were made, and the families began to mingle. Seungcheol and Jeonghan’s parents immediately hit it off, discussing various topics and laughing together. Seungcheol and Jeonghan exchanged relieved glances, happy to see their families getting along.

As the conversations flowed, Mingyu couldn't help but notice Wonwoo. He was instantly captivated by Wonwoo’s calm demeanor and striking features. Wonwoo’s quiet confidence and thoughtful responses intrigued him.

Seungcheol, noticing Mingyu’s distraction, leaned in and whispered, "Hey, focus. We're here for the family meeting, not for you to start flirting."

Mingyu smirked. "No promises, hyung. That’s one good-looking brother-in-law's brother you’ve got there."

Throughout the evening, while the families continued to talk and get to know each other, Mingyu found himself sneaking glances at Wonwoo. Each time Wonwoo spoke, Mingyu was more intrigued. He tried to join conversations that included Wonwoo, hoping to learn more about him.

Wonwoo, on the other hand, was more focused on making a good impression on Seungcheol’s family, knowing how important this meeting was for Jeonghan.

At one point, Jeonghan noticed Mingyu’s interest in Wonwoo and couldn’t help but chuckle. He leaned over to Seungcheol and whispered, "Looks like Mingyu has taken a liking to my brother."

Seungcheol smiled. "I just hope he doesn’t scare him off."

As the night went on, Mingyu’s attempts to engage Wonwoo became more frequent. He complimented Wonwoo’s taste in books when he noticed a bookshelf in the living room, praised his cooking when they discussed family meals.

By the end of the night, as the families said their goodbyes and made plans to meet again, Mingyu felt a spark of hope. He couldn’t shake the feeling that this meeting was just the beginning of something special. As they walked back to the car, he glanced back at Wonwoo one last time, determined to find a way to get closer to him.
