The sun was beginning its descent, casting a golden glow across the serene beach. The waves lapped gently at the shore, creating a soothing rhythm that seemed to sync with Mingyu's heartbeat. He stood at the edge of the water, looking out at the horizon, lost in thought. This was the day he had been planning for months, and his nerves were finally catching up to him.

Wonwoo walked up beside him, the sand crunching softly under his feet. "What are you thinking about?" he asked, slipping his hand into Mingyu's.

Mingyu turned to face him, his heart swelling with love. "Just about how lucky I am to be here with you."

Wonwoo smiled, squeezing his hand. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"

Mingyu nodded, taking a deep breath. "It really is. And there's something I've been wanting to tell you for a long time."

Curiosity sparked in Wonwoo's eyes. "Oh? What's that?"

Mingyu gently pulled Wonwoo closer, their bodies facing each other as the waves rolled in behind them. "I remember the first time I saw you," he began, his voice soft and filled with emotion. "You looked so focused, so serious, but there was something about you that drew me in."

Wonwoo chuckled lightly, his eyes never leaving Mingyu's. "I remember that day. You were trying so hard to make small talk, but I wasn't making it easy for you."

Mingyu laughed, nodding. "Yeah, you were pretty indifferent. But that only made me more determined to get to know you. There was something about you, something special that I couldn't ignore."

He paused, taking a moment to gather his thoughts. "As I got to know you, I realized just how amazing you are. You're kind, intelligent, and you have this quiet strength that I admire so much. You make me want to be a better person, Wonwoo. Every day with you is a gift, and I can't imagine my life without you."

Wonwoo's eyes glistened with unshed tears, his heart pounding in his chest. "Mingyu..."

Mingyu reached into his pocket, pulling out a small velvet box. He dropped to one knee, looking up at Wonwoo with a mix of hope and love. "Wonwoo, you are the love of my life, my best friend, and my everything. I want to spend the rest of my life making you as happy as you've made me. Will you marry me?"

Wonwoo's breath caught in his throat, his hands covering his mouth in shock. Tears began to spill down his cheeks as he looked at the man he loved more than anything. "Mingyu... yes, yes, a thousand times yes!"

Mingyu's face lit up with joy as he slipped the ring onto Wonwoo's finger. He stood, pulling Wonwoo into a tight embrace, their tears mingling as they kissed passionately. The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of them in their perfect moment.

As they finally pulled apart, Mingyu cupped Wonwoo's face in his hands, his thumbs brushing away the tears. "I promise to love you forever, Wonwoo. Through every high and every low, I'll be by your side."

Wonwoo smiled, his heart overflowing with happiness. "And I promise to love you forever, Mingyu. You've made me the happiest person in the world today."

They spent the rest of the evening walking along the beach, hand in hand, talking about their future and the life they would build together. The sun set behind them, casting a warm glow over the start of their new chapter.

Later, as they sat on the sand, watching the stars appear in the night sky, Mingyu turned to Wonwoo, his eyes filled with love. "You know, I was so nervous about today. I wanted everything to be perfect for you."

Wonwoo leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Mingyu's lips. "It was perfect, because it was with you."

Mingyu smiled, pulling Wonwoo into his arms. They sat there in comfortable silence, the sound of the waves providing a soothing backdrop to their thoughts. They knew that whatever the future held, they would face it together, their love stronger than ever.

As the night grew darker, they made their way back to their car, their fingers intertwined. Mingyu glanced at Wonwoo, a mischievous glint in his eye. "You know, we should probably start thinking about the wedding plans."

Wonwoo laughed, shaking his head. "One step at a time, Mingyu. Let's just enjoy this moment for now."

Mingyu nodded, squeezing Wonwoo's hand. "You're right. I just can't wait to call you my husband."

Wonwoo's heart swelled with happiness as he leaned his head on Mingyu's shoulder. "And I can't wait to call you mine."

Their love story, which had begun with hesitant small talk and blossomed into a deep, unbreakable bond, was now entering a new and exciting chapter. They were ready to face whatever came their way, knowing that they had each other, always.

And so, under the starlit sky, with the sound of the ocean as their witness, Mingyu and Wonwoo began their journey toward a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless adventures together.
