The sun was beginning its descent, casting a golden hue over the city as Mingyu and Wonwoo finished their shopping trip. They had been tasked with picking up various items from Jeonghan's extensive list for the wedding, and after a successful day, Jeonghan had given them a break to enjoy themselves. Mingyu, ever the opportunist, suggested a visit to the beach.

As they drove towards the coast, Mingyu glanced occasionally at Wonwoo, who was quietly gazing out the window. The light from the setting sun created a soft glow around him, highlighting his profile in a way that made Mingyu’s heart flutter.

They arrived at the beach, the sound of the waves crashing on the shore filling the air. The sky was painted in hues of pink and orange, making it the perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening. Mingyu parked the car, and they walked along the shore, the sand warm beneath their feet.

"Thanks for coming with me today," Mingyu said, breaking the comfortable silence. "I know it was a long day."

Wonwoo turned to him, a small smile on his lips. "No problem. It was actually kind of nice to get out of the city for a bit."

They continued walking, the rhythmic sound of the ocean creating a soothing atmosphere. Mingyu couldn't help but steal glances at Wonwoo, who seemed to be completely at ease. His earlier annoyance had melted away, replaced by a sense of calm that made Mingyu’s heart ache with longing.

As they reached a quieter part of the beach, Mingyu stopped and turned to face Wonwoo. The golden light from the sunset made Wonwoo’s eyes sparkle, and Mingyu’s resolve finally solidified. He took a deep breath, his heart racing.

"Wonwoo," Mingyu began, his voice slightly shaky. "I need to tell you something."

Wonwoo looked at him, curiosity evident in his expression. "What’s up?"

Mingyu hesitated for a moment, then blurted out, "I’m really falling for you. I mean, I’ve been trying to ignore it, but seeing you here, like this, I can’t keep it to myself anymore. I like you, Wonwoo. A lot."

Wonwoo’s eyes widened in surprise. He opened his mouth to respond, but the words seemed to get stuck. "Mingyu... I..."

Mingyu quickly interjected, trying to calm the situation. "Hey, don’t feel like you need to respond right away. Take your time to think about it. I just needed you to know how I feel."

Wonwoo nodded, still processing Mingyu’s confession.

Mingyu offered a reassuring smile. "No pressure. We can talk about it whenever you’re ready."

They continued their walk along the beach, the silence between them now filled with a different kind of tension. Mingyu, though nervous, felt a sense of relief. At least he had finally expressed his feelings, and now it was up to Wonwoo to decide how he felt in return.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, they made their way back to Mingyu’s car. The drive to Wonwoo’s house was quiet, both men lost in their thoughts. Mingyu glanced over at Wonwoo several times, his mind racing with hopes and fears about the outcome of his confession.

When they reached Wonwoo’s house, Mingyu pulled up to the curb and put the car in park. "Here we are," he said, trying to sound casual.

Wonwoo opened the door and paused before stepping out. "Thanks for today, Mingyu."

Mingyu smiled warmly. "Anytime. Just let me know when you’re ready to talk."

Wonwoo nodded and stepped out of the car. As he closed the door, he looked back at Mingyu with a thoughtful expression. "I’ll see you soon."

Mingyu watched as Wonwoo walked up to his front door, his heart still pounding. After Wonwoo disappeared inside, Mingyu sat in the car for a few moments, reflecting on the day. He felt a mix of anxiety and hope, but he was glad he had finally taken the leap. Now, it was just a matter of waiting to see how Wonwoo would respond.

Mingyu hoped that, no matter the outcome, their time together would be remembered fondly. As he drove away, he looked forward to the possibility of a future with Wonwoo, one that he hoped would be filled with as much warmth and light as the sunset they had just shared.
