Chap 24- Saat pheron se khil gya jeevan

Akshara was getting ready for her early morning shift. Her wet hair were tied in a soft cotton towel, she wore a plain kurti with cotton dupatta and salwar, a small green bindi adorned her forehead while her maang was filled with vermilion. As she tidied up the bed,soft sounds of her glass bangles echoed in the room. Abhir was still asleep while Abhinav was taking a bath.

"Akshara," he called out from the washroom," I had hung my clothes here in the washroom, they arent here now."

"I removed them," she said," you dont need to get dressed in the washroom anymore."

"Rehne deejiye naa Akshara. Kapde deejiye, pehen leta hoon."

When Akshara didnt reply, he walked out of the washroom with the lower part of his body wrapped in a bath towel.

"Aap udhar dekhiye naa," said Abhinav blushing.

Akshara turned around and said," apni wife ke saamne hi toh khade hain, itna bhi awkward feel karne ki zaroorat nahi hai."

Abhinav didnt say anything and quickly got dressed. Akshara took the wet towel from him and went to hang it outside.

Abhinav took his watch and wallet and began arranging the plates for breakfast. Akshara served him the breakfast along with his morning tea.

While they were having breakfast Abhinav said, " I will be back by afternoon today. Aapki shift bhi aaj jaldi khatam ho jayegi. Toh main keh raha tha, aaj picture dekhne chalein?"

Akshara was sipping her tea at the moment. She raised her eyes to look at him and said," Hmm, chalte hain."

"Suniye," she said," I slept on my arm last night and its hurting. Will you please braid my hair?"

Abhinav blushed and said," mujhe kahan aata hai choti banana."

"Acha ji," she said raising her eyebrows,"bachpan se Muskaan ki choti banate aye hain aur.....Acha theek hai,mat keejiye meri help."

"Aap naraz kyun ho rahi hain," he said apologetically. He finished his breakfast and after watching his hands, he fetched a comb.

He untied her messy hair and combed them out. He then started to braid them. Akshara smiled as she continued drinking her tea.

BIRLA MANSION

Abhimanyu had come home to take a shower and get dressed. Arohi and Ruhi were still in the hospital. He walked into his room and shut the door behind him.

"Six years have passed," he said to himself," and I still miss her so much. I wish, I wish................Maybe..........maybe that news about her marriage was fake, maybe she is still waiting for me, maybe............... .

Why! Why! Why am I thinking all this?"
