⚠️ slight ED mention ⚠️
It might be sad (wholesome sad)😭

CARLY POV:

We are about halfway through our dinner. But I just don't feel I can eat anymore. I don't want to gain any weight, but I also don't want to just leave the table.

CARLY'S MOM POV:

I can't help but notice Carly's shift in demeanour. When Carly was younger, and she felt sick, she'd still eat normally. All of a sudden she just stops acting like herself?

Somethings up.

A mothers instinct is never wrong.

I can also tell by the way she looked when I said I left early. She's always loved when I come home early. Why not anymore?

Somethings wrong.

Something is very wrong.

!LITTLE TIME SKIP!

CARLY POV:

"Carly can I talk to you about something?"

I turn and see my mom with a sympathetic look on her face.

She knows.

She knows I'm starting to struggle.

"Uh- yea just let me-"

"I'll get someone to do it for you," she takes my hand. "just come for now."

She leads me up the stairs and into her and dads room. Shutting the door behind us, she sits on the bed. Patting the spot next to her so I do the same.

"Carly what's up?"

"What do you mean?"

"Carly, we both know you aren't sick. I saw the way you looked. Carly you looked almost scared when you saw the pasta. The kind of scared you look when you did something bad as a kid." She stares into my eyes before continuing. "So, I'll ask again. What's up?"

I just stare at her. Truthfully, I don't know. I mean- I know but I can't just burden her again. But I also can't lie to her.

"Carly?"

"Hm?"

"If it's what Emily's been saying to you, or the texts you showed me, that's just her projecting. You do know that right?"

I just nod. I know that if I speak, the dam might break.

"Trust me. It's your last year. If you waste it by thinking of all the negative things, you'll feel you have nothing to be yourself for,

you are your own critict,

and you are the only person who can love yourself more than someone else can."

I can feel the tears forming.

Nobody has told me anything even remotely hard hitting and loving to me.

"I- thank you mum." I stutter. Trying to word everything like I'm not about to cry.

"Of course. I love you Carly, it's what mothers are for."

'I love you'

I'm loved.

"I love you too mum."

She's loved.

Everyone's loved. That includes you too.

—————
At that moment, Carly knew her mom cared,
The look up, where loving eyes stared.

Carly was left trying to keep the tears at bay
Hearing she was loved, made her whole day.
—————
(A/N: Incase nobody has told you:
YOU'RE LOVED!
I know I'm a stranger and I don't know anything about you, but I care about you. I think you deserve all the good things that have happened/will happen to you.

Also I'm very sorry for the late post!)
