The opening banquet dinner went off without any problems except from the angry glares and snide remarks that could be heard from time to time they really did not pay it any mind. The children and their friends had pulled some tables together and were all sitting and chatting with each other. Well, you can say that Zizhen, Jin Ling, Guo, and Wen Ning had deserted their families for their friends.
Zixuan, during the cause of the night, had made his way over to where Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian, Nie Huaisang, Nie Mingjue, and Wen Rouhan with his niece and sons were conversing. He wasn't the only one, though even Meiren had made her way over to them. Their laughter ranged through the hall as they joked around.
The Lans were far from please as their sect heir and mother, according to them, align themselves with the enemy. How unfillial and disrespectful they are.
"Xichen, you must get your omega and son in line. How you can allow her to do as she pleases are above me. You are her sect leader and alpha, and she should listen and adhere to what you say."
Lan Qiren whispered angrily at his eldest nephew as he watched the group of people.
"Shufu, I will as soon as we get back. Let's not make a scene. These things are best discussed in private and away from prying eyes and ears."
Lan Xichen reassured his uncle as his beta sat next to him and listened to their conversation.
"You are taking too long. Look what she did. She took Guo away, and you let her. If I had known back than what type of person she really was. I would have never allowed you to marry her. She's just like that Wei Wuxian."
He continued as anger sparked in his eyes.
"Shufu is right, A-huan. Who knows what else she would do and look how comfortable she is with them. Maybe put her in seclusion for an unforeseeable time so she could reflect and correct her ways. It would not be a bad thing either to let her reflect on the rules and remind her who her loyalties should lay with."
Jin Guangyoa said with a soft voice next to his mate. Xichen nodded his head with approval, making Jin Guangyoa smile as his eyes rested on Meiren, who was standing with her back to them.
"We should get Guo away from those children as well. He is the sect heir of gusulan and should act as such and not mingle with people of lower standings."
Jin Guangyoa continued forgetting just how low his standings are, but yeah, what do you expect from someone like him.
"Lan Furen is right."
Lan Qiren hastily agrees with Jin Guangyoa from where he was seated.
"Look at him thinking that he is one of us. Who does he think he is? A-Li, why do you let A-Ling be friends with that bastards children. You allow my grandson to sit with them. He is a sect heir for godsake and they are nothing but the bastard children of that son of a whore."
Madame Yu angrily whispered to her daughter.
"Mother I tried but he won't listen to me and his father told him that it was fine for him to befriend them."
Yanli spoke softly and her mother turned fully towards her and said.
"Are you not my daughter?. You let a man tell you what to do?. I don't care if he is your alpha or not. You get my grandson away from that bastards do you hear me."
"My lady please."
"Shut up Fengmian."
She told her husband and he just shook his head and close his mouth.
"You are nothing but a weakling I never should have married you."
She continued to spat angrily as she glared at her husband not minding her words at all.
