My sunshine // Layne Staley

I take a shower and start dressing. For the occasion I wear a not too short red dress and some high heels and a bit of makeup because I have some dark circles under my eyes that I can even beat pandas. After putting on makeup, I take my jacket and start walking towards the bar. I actually wanted to stay at home but I was sad to say no to the guys after they helped me.I go into the bar, and I see them with some girls. I'm certainly not shocked, in fact if they hadn't been I would have even been worried. "Hey guys" I say "Hey Lily, sit down" Layne says and I sit. "And who would you be?" The girl next to Mike asks me "A friend of the boys" I say trying not to seem too grumpy. Even though I would like to tell him two but I hold back. "Of course, guys who have really bad taste of choosing your friends" the girl says and the others laugh too. Unfortunately I laugh out loud. I'm sure my guardian angel is begging me right now not to say anything. Sorry my dear angel, but I have to put these girls in their place. "Look, they suck even more at choosing the girls they spend their evenings with" I say nonchalantly. I see Sean spitting out the beer he was drinking and Layne putting his hand in his mouth, surely to avoid laughing. "Sean, did you lose your beer? You see you have to be careful when you drink it" I say and this time everyone laughs. "Even though you think you're funny, you don't make anyone laugh" a girl says. "Well then why are the boys laughing?" I say and they start to laught again. By now they are so furious that they leave the table.

 "Come on, why are you leaving? We were having fun? Mike says "tell your friend" a girl answers and they go to another table. "Sorry if I made them go away" I say. "Don't worry, but I wanted them to stay so you could answer her and have a laugh" Mike says "Lily, I didn't make you sassy" Sean says "There are still things you need to discover" I say. Not even after five minutes another one arrives. "Look Lily, another friend of yours is coming" Mike says laughing
"Hi, sorry if I bother you. Can I sit here with you?" The girl asks. I'm already starting to laugh "Yeah, of course. Sit down" Mike says and she sits very close to Layne and puts her hand on his leg. God forgive me, but I think I'm going to commit murder tonight. I can see Layne's face looking a little upset and trying to take her hand away, but again she puts it back. "What's your name? You're very cute. I'm Julia" she asks to Layne But I say but Layne? There are four boys. I get that Layne is a nice guy, but what about him? Then I realize what I just said.

 I literally said I think Layne is cute. It is now impossible to deny it But I don't know if he feels the same way about me. I wouldn't want our friendship to be ruined, I think to myself. While I'm doing this monologue, someone touches my shoulder. "Lily, is that you? " I turn and see Michael, a very dear friend of mine "Micheal, is it really you? " I say shocked "In the flesh, how are you Lily, long time no see" he says and we hug "You're right Micheal, we haven't seen each other in a long time. How are you?" I ask him "Well, if it's not a problem for your friends, you want to come to my table, so we can talk more calmly" he asks to me. "Guys, this is Micheal a dear friend of mine, if you don't mind can I go with him? You know, I haven't seen him in a while" I ask them "Nice to meet you Micheal, yes of course don't worry, go ahead" Mike says and the others nod. "We will see each other later" I say and I approach Micheal's table.

Sean Kinney POV

I immediately turn to Mike and we start laughing. We saw the same thing. Layne's eyes when they saw that Michael take Lily away were so blue they were almost scary. "Sean, are we being bastards?" Mike asks. I know where he's going with this and I think it's a great situation to make him jealous. Lily with the girl next to Layne was also jealous. His eyes were full of hatred for that girl, so now it's time to make Layne a little jealous. "Jerry , who was that man? Do you know him?" Mike asks "Yes, he is a long-time friend of Lily's, we often ate together"
He explains. Layne was no longer calculating the girl, but was listening intently to the discussion. "Can you tell us a little about him?"
Sean asks "Why do you want to know something about him? Then I don't know him very well, my sister knows him well" Jerry explains "You should know him, you even ate together, come on, you should know something" Mike says.

Since they are quite rare that's why she has never had a boyfriend" Jerry explains "Well that Micheal is perfect for her. Handsome, loves reading, seems like a good guy. He's the ideal guy" I say Here I think I exaggerated a little because Layne abruptly gets up from the table "I'm going out to smoke a cigarette" he says and go towards the exit. Mike and I exchange glances. We had managed to make Layne really jealous. "Because Layne seemed angry to me?" Jerry asks "Maybe he wanted to get the girl out of the way" I say.

I missed Michael. In everything he said he had to make you laugh. Find any excuse to make people laugh. If I had to go to a funeral with him instead of crying I would laugh. "So you graduated from Oxford. I'm glad you were able to make your dream come true. Even though I was sure you would make it" he says Here's another thing I love about him, he's that friend we all want. Always ready to support you through everything "Yes, luckily I did it. You know, sometimes I wanted to leave everything but then I would slap myself for thinking of such a thing" I say "How many times have I, think that once my roommate had seen me hit myself out of nowhere and wanted to call the psychologist" he says and we laugh. "I would have done it too if I didn't know you. But tell me how things are going with Jane? I ask "Lily, you'll never believe this" he says and shows me his right hand. "Michael, I can't believe it. You got married!" I say happily "Well yes . I'll tell you. I proposed to her while we were looking at the starry sky. She accepted but asked me to do something crazy

You can return to your friend" he says and he turns the other way . I don't like the tone he's talking to me in. That's not like Layne. I'm sure something happened and I sit next to him "Layne please, watch me. What happened? Why are you talking to me like this? I ask worried. But Layne doesn't answer me and continues smoking his cigarette.

 Then I take it from him and throw it on the ground "What the fuck? Why did you do that Lily? He asks me "I want an explanation Layne! Because you don't want to talk to me? I ask raising the tone of my voice a little "DO YOU WANT REALLY WANT TO KNOW ? He yells "YES!" I yell "I'M PISSED WITH THAT FRIEND OF YOURS LILY!" He yells "WHY ARE YOU ANGRY AT HIM? I yell "BECAUSE I AM JEALOUS OF HIM! HE IS YOUR KIND OF MAN LILY! He still yells "BUT WHY ARE YOU SAYING ALL THIS?! I yell "CAN'T YOU SEE IT LILY THAT I'M DEADLY IN LOVE WITH YOU!" He yells but then he stops I'm shocked. Is Layne in love with me? I couldn't believe it "Layne..." "Please don't say anything" he says And he gets up to leave. But I stop him and kiss him. Layne pulls me closer and kisses me harder. We broke away because we needed to get some air. "Layne, I'm love with you too. I don't know who told you he's my type. Layne is just a friend and then he even got married we were talking about that" I say softly and I caress his cheek. He takes my hand and kisses it "I'm sorry Lily, if I reacted this way.

 But I was jealous" he says "Don't worry Layne, but you know I like this jealous side of yours" and we laugh "Thanks for not getting angry" he says and he kisses me again "God, you don't know how long I've waited for this moment" he says "Me too Layne. It's been a long time now since I couldn't deny my feelings for you. "I'm glad to hear it. Do we want to go home? He asks me but I could see in eyes some sparks. "Why do you want to go to the Layne house? I ask seductively. "You know it too. Do you want to go or not? He asks. "But if we take the car, how will the others get home?" I ask "Simple with their fucking feet" he says and I laugh and we enter into the car.
