After two years

Alice in Chains had become one of the most popular groups of that time. After their first album Facelift was released they now released a new one called Dirt and it was selling a lot of copies making it the most purchased album.

 But But not only had this happened in 1992, but Alice in Chains frontman Layne was also getting married. It was a sunny day, all the dearest people were in that little church. Layne was eagerly waiting for his bride. He was very happy that this day has finally come.

 Everyone turns when the church doors open and the click of heels echoes through the church . Lily was entering accompanied by her dear dad, wearing a ball-gown dress making her as if she were a princess. 

"You are the second most beautiful bride I have ever seen" her dad says "please dad don't make my cry, otherwise I'll ruin my makeup" she says. When Layne saw her, he was breathless. Seeing his woman who made him a happy man he couldn't wait for her to become his wife. 

Lily arrives at the aisle."You're so beautiful, Lily" Layne says with tears in his eyes "you're very handsome too" "We are gathered here today to join Lily and Layne in holy matrimony" the parish priest says.

 After the reading,the parish priest exchanges vows "Do you Layne Thomas Staley take Lily Gloria Cantrell to be your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?" The priest ask "I do" Layne answers "And you Lily, do you take Layne Thomas Staley to be your husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?" The priest asks "I do" Lily says. 

"Now you can exchange rings" and Sean, crying, comes closer and gives him the rings and they exchange rings. "By the power vested in me by the state of Washington, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride" the priest and they share a long passionate kiss. All the people start clapping their hands very loudly. The couple walks out of the church hand in hand and grains of rice are thrown at them by their friends.

 Then they go to celebrate in that pub where they first met. Between laughter and dancing with their friends and family, the two spouses are finally left alone. "May I have the honor of dancing with you, my dear wife?" Layne asks "Of course my lovely husband" Lily says and they started dancing.

"I can't believe that we are married" Layne says."It seems like a dream too but it's actually a wonderful reality" Lily says. "I love you so much Lily" Layne says "Me too Layne. I have a surprise for you" Lily says "and what would it be?" She goes to get a white box with a bow "What is this?" Layne asks. "Open and see When Layne opens the box, tears of joy roll down his face.

  In this box there was a positive pregnancy test with a note written next to it "you will become a father" "Lily, this is wonderful. I'm going to be a dad!" he says picking her up and turning her around. "Yes, we're going to be parents," Lily says happily. "I am grateful to have you in my life Lily. 

Thank you for being my light" Layne says. "Layne, you are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You never know dear how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away." Lily sings."

I didn't know you had this beautiful voice" Layne says and kisses her . "Stop it, I have a horrible voice" Lily says laughing."For me it's the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. Thank you for being there" Layne says "thank you for being my sunshine" Lily says and they share a passionate kiss.
