It's been a few weeks already that Layne and I have been together. Every day I can't stop thinking about him. And to think that I told myself that I wouldn't fall in love with anyone. Instead, here I am, completely in love with him.  Around lunch time we decided to go and have something to eat together. Suddenly my phone rings. I pick up the phone and hear his voice

 
Layne Staley POV

"Good morning dear, how are you" I ask "Now that I hear your voice I'm even better" she says and I could tell she is laughing a bit"In addition to hearing your beautiful voice, I wanted to tell you that I'll come and pick you up" I say "Alright my love, as you wish" she says and we laught. "See you later then. I am going to take a shower" she says "Okay darling, see you later" I say and I end the call. I can't control myself, the smile comes out spontaneously. And just as I smile, the bomb is dropped "Layne who were you talking to? You seem to be happy" Mike asks .God of all people is the one who never lets anything slip away. "Eh, I was talking to my sister. She was telling me something and I'm happy for her" I say. I swear I'll pass out sometime if they keep asking me anything about it. ""Huh, whatever" Mike says. "I'm not having lunch with you today. I have somewhere to go and I think I'll eat something out" I say "Alright bro, don't worry" he says. I go to the bathroom to take a shower.

 
Mike Starr POV

Ah dear Layne, who are you kidding? Maybe those 2 idiots do, but I don't care. As if I hadn't noticed that you've been different for a few weeks. Always go out, make these calls secretly, always smile. I'm sure there's a girl involved. I really hope it's Lily, even if she seems to be hiding something too. The last time I saw her she was always sending little glances at Layne and a little smile playing on her lips In fact, she's much better at disguising her feelings. Do you remember when we went to the bar and Lily's friend was there? Didn't you see that I was dying of jealousy?" I say "Do you think he was really jealous?" Jerry asks "Yes!" Sean and I say together. "Look, today he told me he has to go out. With Sean we thought of a plan to follow him. Do you want to come too?, So we will find out if all these hypotheses are true or not" I say "Ok, I'm in. So what plan are you making?" Jerry asks "As soon as he leaves the house, we will immediately take your car and follow him without being noticed. Obviously we have to disguise ourselves, so we'll all be wearing hats and sunglasses. Nothing difficult" I explain. While we're still talking about the plan, we hear the bathroom door open. Well Layne was on his way out. "Guys I'm going, see you later" Layne says and opens the front door. When the door closes, we immediately search for our hats and sunglasses and we go inside Jerry's car. "Plan underway, guys. Let's see if this asshole is selling himself to anyone" I say and we start following him. We see him park right in front of Lily's house. "YES, I TOLD YOU THAT THOSE TWO WERE DATING" I say "It's not certain yet, maybe they're just hanging out as friends" Jerry says and I laugh "We will see" I say. We see Layne knocking on Lily's door and after she opens the door, They kiss! "An outing with friends, right Jerry? Sean says and we laugh "Because Lily didn't tell me anything and that bastard too? Jerry asks "Maybe Lily fears that you might kill her dear Layne" Sean says. While we were talking, we didn't realize that they were about to leave. "Jerry, come on, start the car! Those two are about to leave" I say and we start following them. They arrive in a restaurant and after getting out of the car, they join hands and go inside. "Come on, let's go in too" I say and we enter the restaurant. "Good morning, do you have a reservation?" The waiter asks "No, but is there a free table?" Jerry asks "Of course, follow me" the waiter says. Without even doing it on purpose, we were not too far from Layne and Lily's table. "Do you want something?" The waiter asks "3 beers please" Jerry says and the waiter nods. While we waited for the beers, we focused on Layne and Lily. It didn't take a degree to understand that those two love each other. Layne's eyes are heart shaped as he is talking to Lily. Yes He must be telling her something funny because she is laughing. Lily squeezes Layne's hand and he caresses her cheek. I had never seen Layne so corny. You can see he loves her a lot. I'm almost crying with emotion. "Those two love each other so much. Who knows who declared himself first" Sean says "Don't worry, as soon as he arrives we will interrogate him for at least 3 hours" I say. For a moment my heart stopped. Lily had turned to us. I was afraid he'd found out about us. But then he turns her gaze to Layne. "Guys I had a heart attack. I thought she found out about us" I say "Me too, come on guys we better go before he actually finds out about us" Jerry says and we nod
I was talking to Layne, when my gaze fell on 3 men. All three of them had hats and sunglasses on. They were so funny I almost started laughing. "What did you see? You look like you were about to laugh" Layne asks me "No nothing, there are 3 men behind us who are dressed in bizarre ways" I say and Layne turns around too. He laught too "Well, it's true they are really bizarre" Layne says and we continued eating. After a few minutes, those men got up and went to pay and then left the restaurant. "Too bad those bizarre men are gone" I say laughing. After we finish eating, Layne gets up and goes to pay. "We can go home if you want Layne asks me "Yes, I have to go home. I urgently have to clean the house, otherwise it will become a jungle" I say "Okay, honey, I'll take you to your jungle" Layne says and we go to my house. After we arrive I kiss him and say goodbye. I go home, put on something conformable, I tie my hair and start cleaning.

Layne Staley POV 

After I take Lily home, I go home too. As soon as I arrive and open the door I see Jerry, Mike and Sean staring at me with their arms folded just like last time. "We need to talk" Jerry says and makes me sit on the sofa. I was dying of fear. Maybe they found out something between Lily and me. "Layne, did you have fun today? Finally where did you eat? Mike asks me I see he had a smirk on his lips and I didn't like that at all. "I went to that Italian restaurant" I say "And with whom? Sean asks "Alone" I answer "Liar, we know very well who you were with. Layne spills the beans, we know you're hooking up with Lily" Mike says. I could not believe. They had discovered it.. I better start telling everything"Oh yes, it's true. Lily and I are together. But how did you discover it? I ask "Shut up, we'll tell you this later. Come on, we want to know the whole story" Sean says "So, you remember when we went to the bar and Lily's friend was there. I declared myself there. When I went out to smoke a cigarette, it was because I was jealous of Michael. After a few minutes she came out and asked me what was wrong as I was acting cold towards her So I tell her that I was jealous of Micheal because I loved him and then we kissed" I explain "I told you he was jealous. And tell me after you drove Lily home, did anything happen? Mike asks Now that's the question I didn't want to answer. I start doing the Our Father and the Hail Mary so Jerry doesn't kill me"Yes..." I say but I was interrupted by Jerry "You bastard! You fucked my sister and you didn't tell me anything? But I won't kill you because I saw that you love her. But I warn you that if you make her suffer, I will definitely kill you" Jerry says and hugs me "How nice now, as well as being friends, you are also brothers-in-law!" Sean says and gives me a hug "Oh yes, but in what sense did you see me as I loved Lily?" I ask "Well, I don't know if you noticed those 3 men with the hats and sunglasses. It was us" Mike says "Did you follow me? You are assholes" I say laughing "Look, we suspected you were seeing someone. Only that asshole Jerry didn't notice" Mike says "Hey! Don't talk to me like that. Come on guys let's have some beers to celebrate Layne and Lily being together" Jerry says "Nice idea" I say and I take 4 beers "Here's to Layne and Lily!" Jerry says and cheer. Luckily everything went well. Finally I can no longer fear Jerry, or rather my brother-in-law!
