Eric's POV
My days as a project manager at Tetratech Solutions were always a whirlwind of activity. Managing multiple projects and ensuring everything ran smoothly left me little time for anything else. But amidst the chaos, there was one constant distraction I couldn't quite shake—Liezel Nadine.
From the moment she started as the new HR Officer, I found myself intrigued by her. Her presence was striking, and despite my efforts to stay focused on my work, I couldn't help but notice her. She moved through the office with a mix of grace and purpose, her every action seemingly calculated but natural. I found myself watching her more often than I cared to admit.
Her behavior was intriguing. She seemed to be constantly on the move, always busy, and there was something about her that caught my attention. She wasn't just another employee; there was an edge to her, a hint of something more beneath the surface. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I felt a strange pull to learn more about her.
Then, one afternoon, as I was taking a break in the smoking area, I was surprised to find myself bumping into her. Our brief interaction was charged with a subtle tension, and it left me more curious than ever. I had to know more about her, but in a place like this, information wasn't easy to come by.
I decided to reach out to MJ, one of the most connected people in the office. She seemed to know everyone and everything that went on. I sent her a text, hoping she could provide some insight into Liezel.
Text to MJ:
Hey MJ, I hope you're doing well. I was wondering if you could help me out. Do you know anything about Liezel Nadine, the new HR Officer? I've been noticing her around the office and was hoping you might have some details. Thanks!
MJ's reply came quickly:
Text from MJ:
Hi Eric! Of course, I can help. Liezel is quite the enigma, isn't she? I don't have a lot of details, but I'd be happy to share what I know. Maybe we can meet up and chat? I think there might be a way for us to get to know her better. How about dinner?
I considered her proposal. It wasn't often I engaged in social activities outside of work, but this felt different. There was something about Liezel that made me want to understand her better, and if MJ had a plan, I was willing to go along with it.
Text to MJ:
Dinner sounds good. Let's set something up. I'm interested in learning more about Liezel. Thanks for helping with this.
MJ responded with a thumbs-up emoji and a time and place for dinner. I looked forward to the opportunity. It would give me a chance to gather more information about Liezel in a casual setting, away from the office's constant buzz.
As the day drew to a close, I found myself reflecting on the upcoming dinner and what I hoped to learn about Liezel. I knew that understanding her better might lead to answers about her motivations and connections, but I couldn't shake the feeling that this was more than just a simple curiosity. There was something compelling about her, and I was eager to find out what it was.
