Eric's POV
After learning about Liezel's difficult past, I was determined to make a proposal that would be unforgettable. I wanted to show her just how much she meant to me, and with the help of my mom and close friends, I started planning a surprise.
I invited everyone for a two-day trip to La Union, under the guise of a relaxing getaway. Little did Liezel know, it was all part of a grand plan.
The night was cold and windy as we arrived at the beach. I had orchestrated a thrilling twist to the proposal, arranging for Liezel to be "kidnapped" by unknown men, adding an element of suspense and surprise. The real purpose was to make the proposal even more memorable, knowing she would understand the gesture.
As night fell, the beach was transformed into a romantic setting with candles and fairy lights. Liezel was oblivious to what was about to happen. She was excited about the trip, completely unaware of the elaborate plan.
Eric: (to his friends) "Everything is set. Just be ready to make the scene look realistic."
The plan was set into motion. As Liezel was walking along the beach, enjoying the view, I had arranged for a group of men to "kidnap" her. The men, hired to create the scene, approached her quickly, covering her eyes and gently dragging her towards the shore. Her initial confusion and fear were palpable.
Liezel: (panicked) "Eric! What's happening? Where are you?"
The unknown men led her to the spot I had prepared. I could hear her shouting my name, and it broke my heart to hear her distress, but I knew it was part of the plan.
Once they reached the pre-arranged location, the men removed her blindfold. Liezel's eyes widened in shock as she saw the beautiful setup on the beach, with candles, fairy lights, and everyone gathered around—our friends from the CBI and my family. I was down on one knee, holding a ring that sparkled under the moonlight.
Eric: (with emotion) "Liezel, from the moment we met, you've brought so much joy and love into my life. Your strength, kindness, and bravery have inspired me every day. I want to spend the rest of my life showing you how much you mean to me."
Tears welled up in Liezel's eyes as she took in the scene. Despite the initial shock, the romantic setup and my heartfelt words seemed to melt away her fear.
Eric: "Liezel, will you marry me?"
The words hung in the air as the waves gently lapped at the shore. Our friends and family waited with bated breath for her response.
Liezel looked at me, her eyes filled with tears of joy. She took a deep breath, her voice trembling with emotion.
Liezel: "Yes, Eric. Yes, I will marry you."
The relief and happiness I felt at that moment were overwhelming. I slid the ring onto her finger, and we shared a passionate kiss as our friends and family cheered.
The proposal was everything I had hoped for and more. As we celebrated, I looked around at the people who had supported us through everything. It was a moment of pure joy and love, and I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together.
