As I continued to investigate Norin's whereabouts, the weight of my concern for Eric grew heavier. My head throbbed with pain, and the uncertainty of his condition gnawed at me. The CBI was working tirelessly, but each passing moment felt like an eternity.
One of the agents approached me with a report. "Liezel, we've uncovered something that might be crucial. It seems there's a connection between Rafaela and Norin."
I was taken aback. "Rafaela? What's the connection?"
The agent handed me a file. "Rafaela was known as Raffy before transitioning. It turns out Raffy is Norin's older sibling."
I stared at the documents, my mind racing. "Norin's sibling? But why would Norin be so focused on revenge?"
The agent continued, "It appears that Norin is seeking vengeance for Rafaela's death. According to our information, Norin and Rafaela used to live together in Baguio City."
I was stunned. "So Norin's actions... they're driven by a need for revenge?"
The agent nodded. "Yes. We've also tracked down an address that might be linked to Norin and Rafaela's past."
The address was in Loakan Road, Baguio City. It was an abandoned house where Norin and Raffy had lived.
My heart sank. "I need to be part of the raid. We have to find Eric."
Elena rushed to my side, tears streaming down her face. "Liezel, please be careful. Bring Eric back to us."
I took Elena's hands in mine, trying to offer reassurance. "I promise, I'll do everything I can to get Eric back safely."
A CBI agent called me by my code name, "Agent Alpha 017." The sound of it gave me chills, a reminder of my dedication to this mission. It was my strength and my resolve to get Eric back.
With renewed determination, I prepared to join the raid. I would navigate through every obstacle and face every challenge head-on. Eric's safety depended on it, and I was ready to walk through fire to ensure his return.
