A017's POV
The morning after our return from La Union, I received an unexpected call from the CBI. They needed me to take on a new mission, and as much as I wanted to savor the engagement, duty called.
CBI Agent: "Liezel, we have a new mission for you. It's an urgent one that requires your expertise. You need to infiltrate the circles of Alfredo Go, a prominent business tycoon with questionable dealings."
Liezel: "When do I start?"
CBI Agent: "The mission begins immediately. It's a week-long operation, and we need you to gather as much intel as you can. Alfredo Go is a key player in several ongoing investigations."
I agreed to the mission, though my excitement for the upcoming wedding was momentarily overshadowed by the seriousness of the task at hand. Alfredo Go was a well-known figure in the business world, and his reputation for being both influential and secretive made him a person of interest.
Liezel: (to Eric) "I have to leave for a week on a new mission. It's a crucial one involving Alfredo Go. I'm sorry for the short notice."
Eric: (concerned) "I understand. Your work is important, but I wish we had more time together. Just promise me you'll be safe."
Liezel: "I promise. I'll do my best to keep in touch and stay safe. This mission is important, but you and our future together are always in my thoughts."
As I prepared for the mission, I couldn't shake the feeling that meeting Alfredo Go would be a pivotal moment in my life. There was something about this operation that felt different, though I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps it was the weight of his influence or the complexity of the case.
I set out to blend into his world, ready to uncover secrets and navigate the complexities of his empire. Little did I know, this assignment would not only challenge me professionally but also profoundly impact my personal life.
The coming week would test my skills and resolve in ways I hadn't anticipated, and I braced myself for the journey ahead.
