Rigo's POV
As I paced the confines of the hideout, I couldn't shake the anger that had been gnawing at me. The situation was unraveling, and I was furious. The more I thought about it, the more I realized just how deep the hole Rafaela had dug for us was.
I slammed my fist against the table, sending a few scattered papers fluttering across the floor. The irony was bitter; all my hard work, all the sacrifices I made to build this empire, were now threatened by one person's stupidity.
Rigo: (muttering) "This is unbelievable. Everything we've built is on the verge of collapse, and it's all Rafaela's fault."
Rafaela stood at a distance, visibly shaking. Her fear was almost palpable, and I could see the tremors in her hands.
Rafaela: "Rigo, I'm trying to make things right. I didn't mean for any of this to happen."
Rigo: "Trying to make things right? It's too late for that. You've endangered everything, and if the CBI catches me because of your mistakes, I swear I'll make sure you pay. And I'm not talking about just a slap on the wrist. You'll wish you had never crossed me."
I could see the terror in her eyes, and it was satisfying to know that she was beginning to understand the gravity of the situation. But there was more to it than just Rafaela's failure. There was also Liezel, the CBI agent who had been a constant thorn in our side.
Rigo: "And then there's Liezel. She's the one leading the charge against us. She's been relentless, and if we don't deal with her, she'll be the end of us."
Rafaela looked horrified.
Rafaela: "What are you suggesting? You want to go after her too?"
Rigo: "Exactly. She's making our lives miserable, and if we don't eliminate her, she'll keep interfering. We need to make her pay for what she's done. We need to take her out of the equation."
Rafaela's fear was palpable as she took a step back.
Rafaela: "But what if—"
Rigo: "No 'what ifs.' If we don't act now, we'll lose everything. And believe me, I'll be merciless. As for you, Rafaela, you need to get your act together. If you don't, I'll make sure you suffer just as much as she will."
Her fear was a mixture of desperation and dread. She knew that if she didn't comply with my demands, she'd be facing a fate worse than anything she could imagine. The once-powerful figure was now at the mercy of my decisions.
Rigo: "You better understand what's at stake here. I'll be keeping a close eye on you. If you don't manage to fix this mess, you'll be held accountable, and I'll make sure you regret it. As for Liezel, we'll find a way to make her pay for all the trouble she's caused us."
I turned away from her, the weight of the situation heavy on my shoulders. The path forward was fraught with danger, but I had no choice but to navigate it with precision and ruthlessness. Rafaela's failure had put us all at risk, and I had to find a way out—if there was any chance left.
