Eric's POV
I regained consciousness in a dark, cold room. My head throbbed with pain, and my body felt weak. As my vision adjusted to the dim light, I heard a voice that sounded oddly familiar. The figure stepped into the light, and to my shock, it was Norin.
Norin's presence was unsettling. I tried to move, but I was bound tightly, unable to free myself. The fear and confusion intensified as I listened to Norin's words.
Norin: "Eric, look at you. Weak and helpless. Do you finally see how much you've hurt me? All these years, you've ignored my feelings for you, choosing Liezel instead."
Her voice dripped with venom, and her eyes glowed with a dangerous gleam. I struggled to make sense of her accusations.
Eric: "Norin... What are you talking about? Why are you doing this?"
Norin: "Oh, it's not just about you ignoring me. It's about what you've done to me and my family. You see, Liezel isn't the only one who's going to suffer."
The fear in my heart intensified as Norin continued, her smile becoming more sinister.
Norin: "You've been so oblivious to everything around you. I bet you didn't know that my only family was murdered a year ago."
Eric: "What are you talking about? What does this have to do with me?"
Norin's expression darkened, and she leaned closer, her voice a deadly whisper.
Norin: "My family was taken from me, and the killer was someone you know very well. The woman who was killed... was actually a man. My sibling, who had changed gender to hide our relationship."
The revelation hit me like a thunderbolt. I stared at Norin in shock as she continued with a wicked laugh.
Norin: "Rafaela, or rather Raffy, was my sibling. You know her as Rafaela Natividad, the very person you've been investigating. She was killed, and you, Eric, are the cause of this pain."
I tried to process the shocking truth. The sense of betrayal and horror deepened as Norin's words sank in.
Norin: "And now, Liezel will pay the price for your betrayal. My vengeance isn't just for my feelings. It's for my sibling's death. You and Liezel will suffer just as I have."
Norin's malevolent laugh echoed around the room, sending shivers down my spine. The gravity of the situation hit me hard. Not only was I in grave danger, but Liezel's life was also at stake.
As the darkness closed in around me, I realized that my worst fears were coming true. Norin's twisted vendetta was far from over, and I had to find a way to escape and save Liezel before it was too late.
