Zadie woke up, she was still lying on the ground. She slowly sat up and looked at the floor. It was covered in blood, she touched her head and looked to find blood on her hand. She quickly took a white towel and put it to her head. It really didn't help that much, more and more blood poured out of her head.

It had looked like someone had died with how much blood there was. How was she even alive after losing this much blood? Zadie thought about what happened. She couldn't let Blake see this, what would he think or do? She had to clean this up quickly before he came back. Zadie quickly went to the closet with the cleaning supplies.

She grabbed two bottles of bleach, rags and a mop.

It felt like a crime scene she was cleaning up. It felt wrong, but how else was she supposed to do? Tell him she fainted and bled out a lot of blood. For all she knew he would put her in an insane asylum.

But there was something about it. How the blood went down her face, how the blood got soaked in the towel. How her reflection reflected on the liquid. She snapped back, what was she even thinking? Zadie quickly cleaned the mess up. It looked untouched, perfect even. Her head was a bit better, however it still had a throbbing sensation.

There she found a note on the kitchen counter. "They were going to do it to you two." The writing on the note was sloppy, like it had been wrote quickly.

She went up to her room. She shut and locked her door. There she saw yet another note. "The key hides beneath where you search." Another riddle, the same riddle.

God she hated riddles, all they really did was make her head hurt. And with her head already hurting it only made it worse. She decided to fall asleep to pass the time, plus she really needed it for her head.

She laid down on her bed and rested her eyes. Zadie was expecting another nightmare about Marilyn, but to her surprise. She woke up, with no nightmare.

She was confused but also relieved. She sat up and picked up the glass of water she had on her nightstand. By her glass of water she found yet another note. She took a sip of her water before picking up the note with her other free hand. Of course the same riddle, just what she needed the second she woke up. For her head to hurt again.

She put both the note, and the glass of water down. She thought she'd go downstairs and see if that annoying thing/Blake was back yet. He had been gone for quite a while, he must've been.

Every step she took down the stairs made a creek. "Look who's finally awake." She heard that annoying voice say. "Look who's still an asshole." Zadie said still half asleep while making her way to the living room. "So, mind telling me why you had to go into the office?" Zadie asked while sitting down next to him.

"Well, there's a serial killer going around lately. They called me and asked if I'd help." Zadie laughed at his response. "Wow apparently they must be desperate to ask you for help." Zadie cackled while Blake just glared at her.

Zadie had finally stopped laughing her ass off before she said. "Okay, so about this serial killer." Blake rolled his eyes at her. "Well we have found I think 26 missing persons bodies dumped in the black lake. What was odd about them was that their heads had been cut off. Like they had been sliced off clean."

Zadie was shocked, 26 bodies. That's a lot for one lake. The black lake was not really popular, Zadie used to go there all the time. She loved it since no one was ever there.

She had stopped because every time she went, Marilyn would always be there. She had first started to see her when she was about thirteen. She only had told her parents about a week before her sixteenth birthday. Though all she did was stare, she didn't say a word. She only spoke the first time in the hospital.

Zadie breathed a deep sigh. Zadie thought maybe she could go back there, after all she hadn't visited it in forever. She hadn't been there since she was fifteen. "Is it restricted?" Zadie asked.

"Unfortunately yes, it is." He responded getting up and going to get a beer. Zadie swore, that man's blood type was beer. It's all he ever drank besides from water. Which was a relief, if that man hadn't drank water, she wouldn't be surprised to find him in the hospital.

Zadie was a little disappointed, though she understood. "When will it be open for the public?" Zadie didn't expect him to know, but she wanted to actually know if he did. "When this killer stops killing." He answered going back to the sofa with a beer in his hand.

Zadie then went upstairs. It had been a few days since she had seen the sun. She thought it would be a nice outing to just walk around a bit, explore things, see things, meet people. Sure there was a killer around, but she didn't really worry. I mean she survived a car wreck that her parents died in, at least if she died she would be with them.

She combed her jet black hair into a French braid. She was even surprised she remembered how to French braid. She got dressed in an orange sweater and some black jeans. It was getting into the fall season, that meant it was a little chilly.

"I'm going for a walk." Zadie said before heading out the door. She saw a piece of paper fly onto the ground in front of her. She picked it up to find another note, another riddle. "The key is beneath where you search." Why was it always the riddle.

That had to wait, she would figure it out later on. But right now on her walk was not the time to think. The whole point of this walk was to relax. Not think about a riddle, though maybe Blake could help her.
