Vianna PoV:
As I woke up early, it was my birthday; excitement coursed through my veins. I couldn't wait to reunite with my family and celebrate this special day. But little did I know, the day had more in store for me than just joy and love.
I had initially planned to wear an authentic outfit, but then I remembered the stunning Indian dress Ridham had gifted me. The red suit with a matching dupatta was too beautiful to resist, so I decided to change into it. I paired it with long, elegant earrings and headed to the temple for my daily prayer.
After the prayer, we made our way to the airport, where we boarded a plane to Mumbai. As we soared through the skies, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. I had been experiencing this nagging sense of unease for days, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. Ridham and I chatted about random things, and I was struck by how opposites we were, yet how comfortable I felt around him. I knew he had developed feelings for me, and I couldn't deny that I enjoyed his company.
As the plane landed, I was bursting with excitement, eager to meet my family. But when we reached the airport, I realized that no one had come to pick me up. They had been held up elsewhere, and we had plans to meet later in the evening. Ridham suggested we grab a taxi, but just as we were about to leave, a voice called out my name.
It was one of Reha's friends, looking stunning in her outfit. She reminded me that it was Reha's wedding day, and my heart skipped a beat as she showed me the wedding card with Reha and Aansh's picture. I felt like I had been punched in the gut.
Ridham's face fell, but he quickly composed himself, taking my hand in his. We sat down, and he explained everything that had transpired over the past few months. I felt like my world was crumbling around me. The memories of Reha and Aansh's friendship, the laughter we shared, the moments we cherished – it all seemed like a lie.
I broke down, tears streaming down my face as I struggled to breathe. Ridham held me tightly, trying to calm me down. I was consumed by anger, hurt, and betrayal. How could they do this to me? Why did they keep me in the dark?
As I hugged Ridham, shivering with rage and heartache, I realized that he had known about everything all along. I pulled away, demanding to know why he had remained silent. In a fit of anger, I slapped him across the face. But instead of retaliating, he hugged me again, this time with a gentle, comforting embrace. He explained how Aansh had forced him to keep the secret, and how he had been dealing with the guilt of silence.
At that moment, my anger towards Ridham dissipated, replaced by a deep sadness and sense of loss. I felt like I was mourning the death of a friendship, the loss of trust, and the shattering of my heart.
As I emerged from the emotional embrace with Ridham, I knew I had to attend Aansh's wedding. I couldn't miss the opportunity to confront the questions swirling in my mind. With a mix of sadness and determination, I began getting ready for the occasion. I chose a beautiful lehenga gifted by Bhabhi during Bhai's wedding, applied makeup, and combed my hair. My eyes fell upon the bracelet Aansh gave me when I was heading to Delhi, symbolizing his promise to spend his life with me. Now, it felt like a distant memory. I carefully packed the bracelet, ready to return it to him.
Ridham and I arrived at the wedding venue, and as I entered, a wave of nostalgia washed over me. I remembered how Aansh and I had jokingly planned our wedding.
Flashback starts
I still remember the day when Aansh and Vianna were sitting at their favourite place and were discussing themselves, and they both started dreaming about their future.
Vianna and Aansh were utterly swept away in a whimsical realm of dreams, their hearts racing with anticipation as they counted down the days until their enchanting wedding celebration. Every moment was a delightful whirlwind of planning and preparation, as they poured their hearts and souls into meticulously crafting each detail of their special day.
Vianna's eyes sparkled like diamonds as she envisioned herself gliding down the aisle, her delicate feet floating across the floor as if carried by the gentle whispers of loved ones. She pictured the soft rustle of her lace wedding gown, the delicate petals of her bouquet, and the tender smile of her beloved Aansh as he awaited her arrival.
Aansh's face radiated warmth and happiness, his eyes aglow with excitement as he contemplated the promise of forever with his soulmate. He imagined the gentle touch of Vianna's hand in his, the sweet scent of her perfume, and the joyous laughter of their friends and family as they embarked on this new journey together.
As they delved into the intricacies of wedding planning, their unwavering love and dedication shone like a beacon, illuminating their shared dreams of a truly enchanting and unforgettable wedding day. They envisioned a majestic ceremony, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant blooms, with soft sunlight casting a golden glow upon their union.
Every detail was a testament to their love story – from the delicate calligraphy on the invitations to the exquisite flavours of the wedding cake; each element was a reflection of their unique bond. As they worked together, their love continued to flourish, growing stronger with each passing day.
In the midst of meticulous preparations, Vianna and Aansh found solace in each other's embrace, their love serving as a reminder that the true magic of their wedding day lay not in the details, but in the promise of forever they were about to make to each other.
*Flashback ends*
The sight of him exchanging vows with Reha brought tears to my eyes. I felt a mix of emotions: self-doubt, anger, and sadness. Abhay's revelation about Reha's parents blackmailing Aansh's family left me stunned. I couldn't process my emotions, so I smiled, wiped away my tears, and corrected my makeup.
As the ceremony unfolded, I watched from a distance, trying to avoid drama. Aansh's eyes sparkled as he gazed at Reha, and I saw the happiness radiating from him. It was a bittersweet moment for me. I remembered how I was telling Aansh about how I wanted us to get married.
( I envisioned my wedding day as a majestic celebration of love, with every detail meticulously curated to reflect the grandeur of my devotion to Aansh. She dreamed of exchanging vows in a lush garden setting, surrounded by a sea of roses in every hue, from soft blush tones to vibrant crimson, their delicate petals unfurling like tender whispers of love. The air would be alive with the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, as twinkling string lights and candelabras cast a regal glow upon the proceedings, bathing the entire scene in a warm, golden light. Majestic arches adorned with roses and greenery would frame the ceremony, while a soft, velvety carpet would lead her to the altar, where Aansh would await, his eyes shining with adoration. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky would be painted with hues of pink and gold, a breathtaking backdrop for the royal celebration of their love, a day that would be etched in their hearts forever.)
When I was dreaming about our conversation, I heard one of the ladies calling Abhay to come along with us, and then It was time to meet the newlyweds; I put on a brave face and congratulated them. Aansh's shocked expression was palpable as I handed him the gift containing the bracelet. I whispered, "You gave me the best gift, dumbo," and felt a tear escape my eye. I quickly left the venue, feeling suffocated, and broke down in Ridham's car.
After an hour of cathartic crying, I composed myself and returned home to celebrate my birthday with a fake smile. The night ended with me crying on Bhai's lap until sleep consumed me, exhausted from the emotional rollercoaster.
