"Keigo....?", I weakly asked, my voice was barely above a breath. He quickly reached out for me, swiftly holding one arm behind my back and one under my legs. Things went too fast for me to properly comprehend, and the next thing I knew was us being high up in the sky.

"Y/N.....hold on...just a little longer...", Hawks mumbled as his gaze was focused on his way ahead, his wings strongly flapping, gaining as much speed as possible. I was even too weak to hold onto him, let alone be scared of the incredible speed considering the height. Hawks gritted his teeth, his eyes held mixed feelings. My weak gaze was fixated on him, I couldn't really grasp the reality of seeing him, after all these years....

My eyelids got weaker and weaker as well as my conciousness. A sudden shake startled me, bringing me back.

"Don't close your eyes, do you hear?", Hawks desperately pleaded, his tone held a hint of fear. "Just a little longer...you can do this..."

I breathed heavily, and after a minute or so, we somehow landed into an apartment. Hawks gently placed me down onto an armchair, shaking me gently by my shoulders, keeping me concious.

"Don't you dare close your eyes, okay? I'll be right back", he urged as he swiftly ran into the kitchen. The fight against my own conciousness was hard to maintain. Hawks came back after a few seconds with a water bottle and a bread along some sweets.

"Here, please eat this...", murmured and held the bread infront of my mouth, but my strength was too low to even chew. Hawks noticed that as well, so he held my mouth and gently yet confidently pushed my jaw open, shoved the bread a little into my mouth and making me chew it. With him holding my nose and lifting up my head, I forcefully gulped down. This process was repeated until I finished the bread, as well as the sweets for the sugar.

I noticed Hawks strongly sighing after he forced me to eat and drink something and he then gently lifted me up bridal style, carrying me into his bedroom. He layed me down onto his bed and wrapped me softly into his warm and comfortable blankets. I felt like I was in heaven, it's been way too long without a bed.

"Rest a while Y/N. You're good for now. Tomorrow we'll clean you up", he softly whispered and without much delay I closed my eyes, feeling exhaustion flow through me and then drifted off.

Hawks POV

I saw her quickly fall asleep, her steady and peaceful breath calmed me a little down. A heavy sigh escaped me as I watched her for a few seconds before leaving the room, grabbing my head. Several thoughts and questions swirled through my mind, giving me a slight headache. How did she end up like this? Where have she been these past three years? Why didn't she reply or reach out to me once, out of nowhere? We used to be such good friends in our childhood and during our education and due to our problematic family situations we were very good and comforting pillars for each other, but out of nowhere, after we graduated, she disappeared. It ached my heart, but after some time I managed to accept that she maybe doesn't want to stay in touch with me. Although it was hard for me to manifest that thought, I did in order to protect myself and move on.

I went into the kitchen and filled some water into a glass for myself, sipping it with closed eyes. For a few minutes, I just stood there, processing the current situation. This normal late-day patrol turned out to be life changing....

Y/N POV

I slowly woke up, grumbling due to a headache. With some rolling around I finally woke up entirely, noticing my surrounding wasn't the same I used to wake up lately. My gaze wandered around, I was in someones bedroom. My heartrace paced up and it took a little longer than a normal person would need to notice Hawks. A small gasp escaped me, he was crouched at the side of the bed, kneeling down, head resting on top of his crossed arms onto the edge of the bed.

With a soft hum, I looked around further and noticed a piece of paper onto the night shelf next to me. I picked it up and read it.

Hey Y/N. In case you're awake and I'm not, please don't hesitate to wake me up.
-Keigo

I put the piece of paper onto the shelf again and looked back at the sleeping Hawks. My own thoughts were filled with questions as well.

So....I am not dead? This wasn't a dream?

With a little hesitation, I gently placed a hand onto his ellbow, shaking him lightly. After the seconds attempt he grumbled as well and slowly woke up. Once he grasped the situation he shot up and widened his eyes.

"Y/N! You're awake! Thank god...", he heaved and kneeled onto the bed next to me, looking me straight into the eyes and cupping my cheek with one hand as if he wanted to really make sure this was real. A faint blush appeared onto my face as I returned his gaze.

"W-what happened...?", I whispered silently. Hawks shook his head in response and let go of me.

"You have to tell me N/N (Nickname). What the hell happened these last three years?"

His voice was low, lingered with a small hint of fear of what I had to tell him. I looked down onto my hands, fiddeling with my fingers. An overwhelmed feeling crossed through me, I had no idea where to start nor how to confess everything to him. I was really certain he had to be kind of mad at me for not reaching out. Hawks seemed to notice my hesitation and waved his hands then.

"You know what? Lets safe that for another time. First, I'm sure you need a sweet long bath. I'll go fill you up one", he exclaimed and rushed out of the room into the bathroom. His speed was too much for me to follow, and I slowly crawled out of the bed. Although my limbs still felt a little weak, I could stand upon my own two feet again. Slowly, I walked out of the room and embraced Hawks standing there.

"Bath is almost ready. Go take a bath and in the meantime I'll cook you something", he proclaimed with a small smile as he gestured me the direction of his bathroom. I briefly looked at him with a neutral yet surprised mimic, before I went off into the bathroom. I stopped the flowing water, leaving a neatly filled bathtub with foam for me.

Once I got undressed and slided into it, a heavy and longfetched sigh escaped me, as if all this stress building up inside of me was released.

I enjoyed this feeling for over an hour, it was just too good to be true, and it's been an eternity since I had a warm bath, cleaning myself up.

Who would've though Keigo will be the one saving my life like this....
