Among those waiting in the line is Officer Miller, now in normal clothing, and a young boy in a red jacket, backpack, and yellow pants at his side. The boy, undoubtedly Miller's son, was about fourteen or so going by his appearance, had medium length black hair as opposed to his father's short brown, and he also appeared absolutely giddy by whatever he was waiting for. Joseph, however, was less than pleased, as their place in line wasn't even in eyeshot of the front door.

Miller: Uh, son? We've been in this line for over two hours now, and I don't think it's budged a single inch...

Son: Yeah. Just a small price to pay for "Sumo Slammer 2.1"! I'd do ANYTHING to get this game!

Miller: Huh? But, don't you already have that video game?

The boy turns to face his father, and we can see that his coat is actually a piece of Omni-Boy merchandise, as an Omegamatrix icon was visible on the left side of the boys chest. Judging by this, we can assume his is a fan of the Titans as well.

Son: Hello?! This is Sumo Slammer 2.1! You can change your fighter's color at any time during the match, duh!

The off duty officer just sighs to himself, and begins to look around.

Miller: You know, there's a nice air-conditioned bookstore right over there. (He points down the block.) Maybe we could wait inside until this line thins out a bit.

Son: And lose my place?! No way, dad! You can go, I'll just get my game and meet you back at the cafe or something.

Miller: Heheh, if you say so then. (He gets out of the line.) Want me to pick up anything for you at the book store?

Son: ...Dad, I'm on summer vacation. Why would I read anything???

The two Millers exchange an amused look before the father leaves.

...

Some time later, we can see Officer Joseph inside the bookstore, and is currently on the phone with someone.

???: So, think Jamie's gone stir-crazy in that line yet?

Miller: Heh, I doubt it. That boy's been begging me for that game since last Christmas, but what could I have done then? It wasn't even OUT yet!

The two laugh a bit, but it is short-lived...

(BOOM!!)

They both suddenly hear a loud crash and some screams, both coming from outside. Joe looks out the window, sees a large pillar of smoke, and his hearts nearly stops as he realizes where it's coming from.
