⋆˖˚Jennie's POV .𖥔 ݁ ˖

I woke up seeing Rosé stretching prettily in front of me. My eyes went wide, and I sat up immediately.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"Calm down, pretty. I just woke up too," she answered calmly and pointed at the wall clock with her lips.

My shoulders slumped. I had overslept, and it was almost time for an afternoon snack.

"Chill, they know. Though, I said we were going to follow them, we have food here as well. I haven't checked my phone yet," she continued stretching.

I joined her, and she kept laughing whenever she saw my underwear. We're used to it, but we just want to make fun of each other.

A lot happened yesterday: our friendship grew stronger, Jungkook and I leveled up, Lisa's confession, and V's words. Rosé also mentioned Lisa looked normal when they woke up, and I'm glad she did. But still, I had a lot on my mind.

We quickly got ready and barely touched the food. If we ate, we would be so late. I didn't check my phone either. Rosé did my hair while I did hers. I wore a plain black shirt paired with checkered pants, while Rosé wore ripped shorts and a black crop top.

After getting ready, we went straight to the lobby and found Jungkook sleeping on one of the couches, guarded by one of their bodyguards.

"I'll wait for you in the parking lot," Rosé said as she exited.

I looked at the bodyguard, seeking permission to approach Jungkook. He smiled and nodded in approval. I quickly ran to Jungkook and lightly tapped his shoulder multiple times while calling his name.

His brows furrowed as he stretched and slowly opened his eyes.

"Jennie?" he asked, as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"Why are you sleeping here? Where are they? Did you wait here for us?" I asked, slightly panicking.

He checked his phone before looking back at me.

"Oh, yeah. I waited for you here. I didn't know I fell asleep," he said shyly, avoiding eye contact.

"Sorry about that. I overslept," I sincerely apologized.

"Jisoo mentioned it. I insisted on waiting for you, so there's no need to apologize. Uh, you didn't check your phone?" he asked, still a bit shy.

"I forgot. Thank you and sorry for making you wait, Kook," I said softly. He smiled in response.

"Did you eat your lunch?"

"We did, but just a bit. We're rushing to follow you guys," I answered truthfully. "Wait, did you eat?"

"Uh, yes. Suga-hyung ordered food for me. I fell asleep after eating."

"I'm really sorry. I feel bad."

"It's okay, really," he said, comforting me.

I then remembered what I did in his car and wanted to apologize. It was embarrassing, but I needed to say sorry. I shouldn't have done that.

"About last night..." he cut me off with a question.

"Yeah, why were you with him?" I noticed how his expression changed.

I got a bit distracted. So he knew already? I wanted to explain, but not just yet. I sighed before explaining, discarding my initial reason for wanting to apologize.

"Something happened with our group, and I can't say anything about it," I started, looking at him. "I couldn't sleep with so much on my mind, so I went out to a nearby store. Taehyung saw me there, and he stayed until almost dawn. Then we decided to watch the sunrise. I love doing that whenever I get the chance, so I grabbed it. I didn't even think I might oversleep."
