LILA was pretty.
But not just the kind of pretty that would make you stop in the hallway to admire her; she was the kind of pretty that would make your eyes turn into hearts, and cause drool to drip out of your mouth.
This was all according to Sam Evans.
He loved everything about her. He loved the way her curtain bangs lay perfectly on her face. He loved the way her laugh echoed through a room. He loved the way she smelled like vanilla. He loved the way her singing voice sounded like angels. But to Lila, Sam was just the kid who lived next door. So he was stuck admiring her through his window, watching as Kurt would come over for sleepovers or how Quinn and Mercedes would have random dance parties with her at midnight.
He wished that maybe one day, she would feel the same way about him. That's why he asked Finn to ask Lila if she had a crush on him. But to his dismay, she said no. But that wasn't going to make Sam give up.
Sam sat down on his bed to practice some guitar chords. He decided on the song to use for this week's glee assignment and didn't want to make any stupid mistakes. He strummed his guitar lightly and began humming the words until he saw movement coming from the window across from his bedroom. He didn't want to be creepy, so he slid out of sight where Lila couldn't see him. He continued to play his guitar until he heard a thud. He ignored it at first but then heard another thud. Was Lila hurt? He cast a quick glance at her window and saw something that made him shut his blinds as fast as possible.
Puck and Lila sucking face in her bedroom.
He tried everything to erase the image from his mind, but nothing worked. The sight of them together felt like a punch to his gut. He put his guitar aside and lay back on his bed, staring at the ceiling. The chords he had been practicing were now just a jumbled mess in his mind, overshadowed by the painful image of Lila with someone else.
He couldn't believe it. Puck? Of all people? He knew Puck was his friend, but seeing him with Lila felt like a betrayal. Sam had imagined so many scenarios where he confessed his feelings to Lila, where she looked at him with those sparkling eyes and told him she felt the same way. But those dreams felt shattered now.
Now, he wished more than anything to be out of the glee club and away from Noah Puckerman.

Lila's Pov:
Mr. Shue clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention to the front of the room. "I'd like to welcome our new member, Sam Evans." My heart skipped a beat as Sam walked in, his blond hair tousled and his smile a bit nervous. "There he is."
"How's it going? Hey, everybody. I'm Sam. Sam I am. And I don't like green eggs and ham," he said, trying to break the ice. I couldn't help but smile at his attempt.
