Bridget hummed softly to herself as she carefully arranged the pink cupcakes on a tray, eager to share them with her fellow students. "This is the perfect way to make some new friends!" she thought excitedly. Her best friend Ella walked beside her, eyeing the treats with delight.

"Those look amazing, Bridget! I'm sure everyone will love them," Ella said with a smile.

As they entered the bustling hallway, Bridget's eyes scanned the crowd, searching for friendly faces. Suddenly, she felt herself lurch forward as she tripped over an outstretched leg. The cupcakes went flying, splattering all over the crisp white shirt of a tall, intimidating boy.

"Oh no!" Bridget cried, her hands flying to her mouth in dismay. "I'm so terribly sorry, I didn't see you there!"

The boy looked down at his ruined shirt, his brow furrowing in irritation. Bridget recognized him as James Hook, the notorious pirate of the school's "villain" clique. His cold, calculating gaze made her shrink back slightly.

"Well, well, if it isn't the new little princess," Hook drawled, his lips curling into a smirk. He eyed Bridget up and down, taking in her perfectly coiffed pink curls and the delicate lace trim of her dress. "Looks like you've made quite a mess. How do you plan to make this up to me?"

Bridget's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she fumbled in her pocket for a napkin. "I-I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, I just tripped and-"

Before she could finish, Ella stepped forward, her eyes flashing with protective fury. "Leave her alone, Hook! It was an accident. Come on, Bridget, let's get you out of here."

As Ella pulled Bridget away, Bridget couldn't help but glance back at Hook, her heart racing at the way his intense gaze had locked onto hers. Despite his cruel reputation, there had been a spark in his eyes that Bridget found both terrifying and intriguing.
