 Aahan ☾

The city was bathed in the warm, golden light of the setting sun as Agastya, and I chilled at our favorite cafe. The rich aroma of fresh coffee mixed with the soft buzz of conversation, creating a rare moment of calm in our usually hectic lives.

"Can you believe we actually have a weekend off?" Agastya said, leaning back with a satisfied grin.

"Feels like a miracle," I replied, returning his smile. "We should make the most of it."

Agastya laughed, taking a leisurely sip of his coffee. "Yeah, after this crazy week, we definitely deserve it."

"Totally," I agreed. "I was thinking of hitting the movies later. What do you think?"

"Who are you and what have you done to the rude ass Aahan Roy," Agastya said, his eyes lighting up as he chuckles, and I roll my eyes at his tactics.

Just as we were planning out the rest of our evening, Agastya's phone buzzed loudly on the table. He glanced at it, his expression suddenly shifting to one of alarm. "What the fuck!" he exclaimed, his voice cracking with worry.

"What's wrong?" I asked, noticing his panic.

"It's an SOS from Roohi," Agastya said, his voice slightly trembling as he tried to call her. Her phone was off. His eyes widened in fear, and he was clearly on the verge of a meltdown.

"Let me see that," I said, grabbing the phone from him. I quickly checked the SOS app, but it showed no new updates. "We need to figure out where she is and get to her immediately."

"Yeah, but how?" Agastya asked, his voice barely controlled. "Her phone's off, and we don't have a clue."

I thought quickly, trying to think of a way to find Roohi. "I have a contact. He's the CEO of Advani Security, that might help us."

Agastya nodded, desperation etched on his face. "Call him!"

I dialed Adik Advani's personal number, but he didn't pick up. Agastya tried again, but the call went straight to voicemail.

"Damn it!" Agastya said, frustration evident. "What do we do now?"

"Hold on," I said, taking a deep breath.

I sent Adik a text: Answer now or I'll give your shares away to someone else. One ring.

Almost immediately, Adik called back. His voice was muffled, and there was a strange noise in the background.

"What is it?" he asked, his tone impatient.

"Mr. Advani, we need you to track a location," I said urgently. "It's critical."

"Who do you think you are to personally call me for tracking a stupid fucking location? Call up on Advani security or go to the headquarters of Advani Security Mr. Roy. I am no servant of yours. You want to give my shares to someone else do it. We both know, only I won't be the one to have a loss here.", he taunts, frustration itching in his voice.

My blood ran cold hearing his words, and then I say, "I heard your sister finally got a job in Blackwood Legal Group."

"Go for it, do it. Try taking away her job and watch what I'd do to your little business empire.", he probably gritted his teeth as he replied,

"Challenging me, Advani? I wouldn't recommend that." I say, my voice sounds a little too much calm to me.

There was a brief silence, then a faint moan came through the line.

What the fuck?

"Send me the location.", he said before hanging up abruptly.

Minutes felt like hours as we waited for Adik's update. Agastya paced nervously, his face a mix of worry and frustration. My mind raced, trying to prepare for the worst. The café's ambiance felt a world away from the urgency of our situation.
