[ Amara's ]

I woke up early in the morning, and Machiko wasn't sleeping beside me anymore. I thought she was out for something, so I opened my phone to check, and yeah, she messaged me before going out.

Machiko: Hi, baby. I'm out to buy things for hiking. I will be back after this.😊

I smiled; she literally puts effort into everything she does for me. I just stood up to get ready, and when I finished, I heard someone shout from the living room.

"Maraiah! Baby!"

I quickly ran to the living room to see her, and she was holding a lot of paper bags. Damn, she spends too much.

"Ang dami na naman ng binili mo." I crossed my arms and looked at her seriously.

"Shush, don't be mad. We are going to hike." She walked closer and gave me a soft kiss. Bigla namang nag bago ang mood ko nang ginawa niya 'yon.

"Have you eaten breakfast?" She asked while taking out things from the paper bags.

"Not yet; eat me," I playfully said while checking the fridge.

"Don't do this right now, Amara. I swear!" she laughed.

"I'm joking; we are going to hike." I imitated what she said. And we did hike; it took a few hours to get there, and we were laughing and smiling the whole time.

It was already sunset when we were resting on top of one of the mountains. We were sitting down on a blanket, and I was leaning on her shoulder.

"You're as beautiful as this view." She spoke while staring at me, smiling genuinely.

"And you don't even realise how amazing and attractive you are, Machiko." I paused for a second. "And I'm lucky that I have someone like you by my side."

She smiled widely when I said that; we were just watching the sunset. And later, we already got down to go home.

"What do you have in mind?" I asked her while she was driving; she was quiet.

"What if I go to law school?" she suddenly asked.

"Huh?"

"Someday, I will stop my career in this industry and study law to have a bigger profession written on my name." She smiled a little.

"That's so sudden; I thought you didn't want to go to law school." I chuckled.

"I do, not until I meet you."

Those words made me stop for a few seconds. Why would she do that for me?

"You don't have to change careers for me, Machiko."

"But I want to, for you, for us, to protect our private lives soon."

Soon?

"Soon? You imagine your future with me?" I laughed, and she was just smiling cutely.

"Maybe I do, I really like having you by my side, Amara. And I will not stop making you feel worthy every day. I will not include a promise word, because I'm going to prove it to you. That's how worthy your presence is to me."

Her words were so good, I couldn't even speak sweet words back because I was just speechless. She just knew how thankful I was.

When we got into her condominium, we did our usual hygiene together, and after that, we rested on the sofa.

I saw her scrolling through her phone seriously, which made me curious. She doesn't do that normally whenever we are together.

"What are you watching, po?" I asked her.
