[ Amara’s ]

"It's just sex, Amara." 

Those words were my first thoughts upon waking up early in the morning. 

I missed it. Maybe you are as well. But I am still uncertain about everything.

Did... Did you really mean it, Machiko?

I felt my heart ache, remembering everything. I immediately left last night; we didn't even eat or talk more after. 

"Your fault, Amara." I talked to myself again. "Hinayaan mo siya, ginusto mo naman. Ang tanga lang." I sarcastically chuckled.

I stood up to get ready for the day. And Machiko’s birthday dinner suddenly came to mind. I didn't have energy to go to work anymore, so I was sleeping for so long.

I woke up around 2 PM, and my phone was making loud notifications. Ito na naman sila.

Caily: tuloy tayo maya?

Maise: ayaw mag reply ni machiko, busy siguro sa school

Juniper: Sobrang busy nyan! Basta tuloy iyan

Skylar: hintay lg me 😘

Galilea: (2)

Sadie: suot tau pink mamaya hehe

Juniper: okay, love

Caily: yawa kaluod

Maise left the group.

Skylar: HAHAHAHHAHAHWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Galilea added Maise in the group.

Sadie: kainis, mukha ka namang bilat @Maise

Maise: kaya nga masarap, diba?

Juniper: JUSKO PLS LANG MAGSITIGIL KAYO

Caily: this is not you, uyab maise

I was laughing while reading their bardagulan messages. But suddenly, Machiko's text in the group chat popped up.

Machiko: 8 p.m. later. Sorry, I was busy.

Busy, my ass. You fucked me like your toy. I thought to myself while smiling bitterly.

"Asshole," I turned off my phone and looked down while holding my head. "Bakit ba kasi ako nasarapan? Ayan masakit tuloy."

Jaz’s brother suddenly came to mind. Now, I don't want to go on a date with him after that. Alam na alam ni Machiko ang ginawa niya.

My overthinking stopped when a message notified me again. 

Machiko: Make sure to come, Amara.

Amara: ayoko, pagod ako

Machiko: Am I bad in bed already?

Pisteng yawa.

Amara: can u stop bringing it up?

Machiko: I will, just come for my birthday.

Amara: ayoko nga

Machiko: I will pick you up after this freaking taxation class.

Wow, ang talino naman. School girl na, parang hindi dinudurog ng fans noon.

Amara: you're so cool

Machiko: I can hear your sarcastic tone.

Machiko: Amara, come, okay?

Amara: oo na, you're so samok

Machiko: Thanks. Take care :)

Cute. Fuck, I was smiling. I immediately slapped myself, using the pillow beside me. Kinikilig ba ako? Hindi! Wala!
