NEXT DAY

POV: SCARLETT

The following day, Scarlett woke up with a sense of anticipation. The events of her recent hangout with Jaycee were still fresh in her mind, and the thought of seeing her again made her heart skip a beat.

As she prepared for the day, her phone suddenly buzzed with a message.

Reaching for her phone, Scarlett saw that she had a new message. A small smile tugged at the corners of her mouth as she swiped to open the message, expecting it to be from Jaycee.

Indeed, the message was from Jaycee. Scarlett's smile widened as she read the message, her heart fluttering at the sight of Jaycee's name on her screen.

Scarlett's cheeks flushed pink as she read Jaycee's early morning greeting, "Good morning scar🩷"

"Good morning," she replied, her fingers tapping the screen, a small smile playing on her lips.

After replying to Jaycee's message, Scarlett placed her phone back down and turned her attention to getting ready for dance class. She swiftly got dressed, pulled her hair into a ponytail, and packed her bag with essentials.

As Scarlett entered the dance studio, her eyes immediately searched for Jaycee. She spotted her a few ways away, chatting with her friends.

Scarlett made her way towards them, a mix of excitement and nervousness coursing through her veins. As she approached, she caught Jaycee's attention.

"Scar," Jaycee said, her voice soft and warm. Her eyes scanned Scarlett from head to toe, taking in her appearance. "Ang ganda mo ngayon."

Scarlett blushed at the compliment, her cheeks turning a rosy shade of pink. She glanced away for a moment before responding, her voice laced with a hint of playfulness.

"Bolera, ganyan ba pag manliligaw ko?" she asked, a small smirk playing on her lips.

Scarlett then continued with a playful tone, her eyes sparkling mischievously.

"At ngayon lang ba ako maganda ha?" she added, a slightly teasing smile on her face.

Jaycee chuckled at Scarlett's playful question, her expression fond and amused.

"Ah, hindi naman," she replied, her voice filled with affection. "Sobrang ganda mo lang ngayon kahit puro pink suot mo."

Scarlett couldn't help but tease Jaycee, a playful glint in her eyes.

"May problema ka sa pink??" she asked, her voice filled with mock offense. "Mukha ka ngang sisiw eh."

As she listened to Scarlett's playful comment, Jaycee let out a small laugh, her eyes sparkling with amusement. Then, in a soft whisper, she responded, "ganda mo talaga, princess."

Scarlett, not having fully caught Jaycee's whispered reply, looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Ha? Ano?" she asked, a curious expression on her face.

Jaycee, changing the subject, looked around for Maeve, who usually arrived early for dance classes.

"Wala," she responded, her brow furrowing. "Sabi ko, bakit wala pa si maeve? Siya palaging maaga dito ah."

Scarlett nodded in agreement, her expression growing slightly concerned.

"Oo nga," she confirmed, her voice tinged with worry. "Wala din siyang sinabi samin."
