"Very vague, but Rebecca x any!reader where the reader finds Rebecca's half, repairs and reboots her. Likely human. Platonic bonding between them?"
(Rebecca x fem!human!reader) (platonic)
This one was fun to write and I loved this idea, TY! :)
Y/n POV
I wandered through one of the many dark forests of Copper 9. I couldn't exactly stay in the landing pod I crashed here in because unfortunately I'd either starve or freeze. My best bet would be to look around for food or shelter. It's the only idea I have, seeing as I'm stranded here alone.
"God it's so fucking cold." I cursed. "If I'm practically dying, I think I'm allowed to curse fate and the universe for stranding me here without my consent." I sighed and continued trudging through the icy snow. "Please god, I'll never ask for anything again if you just help me," I promised. Then I fell.
"Oww..." I groaned as I shakily sat up on the icy ground. My back and ribs took quite the hit from that one. Then I saw it. A cabin. "Oh my god." I scrambled up, trying my best not to slip on the way towards the run-down shack.
Once on the steps, I stood up and entered the cabin. "Hello? Anyone?" I pushed the old door with all my might until it opened just enough for me to squeeze through. What I saw when I got in was shocking.
"What the..." There was a black liquid everywhere. It was strewn on the floor and around the room. The cabin had no working lights, so it made the whole situation even more ominous. "Is that... oil?" The stench was hard to miss. It wasn't blood because of its dark color, and it reeked of the inside of an auto repair shop. (Sorry that was worded weirdly. I couldn't think of the name of the place. ;-;) "Yep, definitely oil," I muttered, crouching down just enough so that I wasn't touching the liquid.
I noticed something near the liquid. It looked like... the lower half of a body. It had wires sticking out of it and it was wearing a baby blue skirt, with oil staining the fabric. "That's not a human body though... It has wires. Is it a robot?" I inspected the torso from a safe distance, trying to see everything I could in the dark lighting. Then, all of a sudden, I heard a banging.
My head snapped in the direction of the sound. The door. It was coming from outside the cabin. I slowly approached the door. Maybe it's a human? Or another robot? (Thoughts are italicized words btw)
I peeked out the door and noticed a robot lying on the porch. It wasn't just any robot though... It was the upper half of a robot. This has to be the robot I spotted earlier. The robot looked to be a female, based solely on her outfit and hair.
The drone lay on the porch unmoving. Just as I was about to speak, I noticed an error message displaying on her visor.

"Oh shit... can I help her somehow?" I glanced from her top half to her bottom half. "Did she crawl here?" I looked past her top half and noticed a trail of oil dragging into the forest. "Oh god. Okay... I guess I'll just try to fix her." I slowly dragged her body into the cabin. If I want to even try to fix her I'll need light. I managed to find a light switch on the wall by the door. I flipped it on but nothing happened.
"Ugh." I groaned. My annoyance disappeared when I saw a small lamp in a corner of the cabin. "Oh." Thankfully, that lamp worked. How ironically convenient. Despite it being a rather small amount of light, it would do.
"Okay, let's see here." After searching through the cabin, I found some duct tape, two cans of petrol, some disposable gloves, and a lighter. "The petrol must've been used for cars, but it'll work fine on her. I think. I hope..." I smiled nervously and began fixing her the best I could.
I'm no mechanic, but I remember some basic skills my dad used to teach me when I was a little girl. I don't know how I remember the details but I do.
"When they say you have everything you've ever seen and learned buried deep in your brain somewhere, you just have to know where to find it, they were right," I mumbled to myself, putting my gloved hands on my hips.
I accidentally got some oil on my clothes, but it didn't matter. For being in a stranded situation, I think a little stain is the least of my worries right now.

I watched as two blue orbs appeared on the female robot's screen. Those must be her eyes. I watched as she looked around the room before her eyes finally landed on me.
Her eyes "widened" on her visor and she looked frightened. "I promise I'm not going to hurt you. I found you ripped in half and I repaired you." I held my hands up in a surrendering gesture.
She raised an eyebrow before speaking.
"Are you a human?" She questioned. "I thought they all died when the core collapsed."
"Yeah... it's kinda a long story." I sighed. "So tell me, how did you get ripped in half?" The curiosity was killing me from the second I saw her body. If there's something out there that could potentially harm me, I need to know about it.
She rubbed her head and sat up slowly. "Uzi... she tried to kill me. That emo creep turned into some bat-looking creature." My once calm look turned to one of confusion. "Emo freak? Bat creature? I'm so confused."
Rebecca noticed my confusion and waved a hand. "She's unimportant. Anyway, I like your jacket." Huh? I looked down and realized I was wearing my Mean Girls varsity jacket. It even had the North Shore High letters on the front and the iconic blue and yellow colors.
"Oh, this? This is just my Mean Girls jacket." I shrugged. "So who is this... Uzi... you're talking about?" I asked again.
"Mean girls? Who's that?"
Despite Rebecca's unintelligence, I explained who the Mean Girls were. She quickly became obsessed with them and immediately wanted to know more. We kinda bonded over that and she decided we were best friends.
She explained how she tried to be popular but failed when a drone named Lizzy always thought of her as a nuisance. I told her that she shouldn't let others determine who she should be and that real friends would stick with her and have her back.
Although Rebecca seemed "rough" upon first meeting her, I taught her the basic rights and wrongs of life. I thought it was kinda sad how robots have feelings like this and even they have bullies.
Rebecca was really grateful for my kindness and she'd occasionally tell me how she was happy she'd met me. I felt empathy for her because I've been bullied my fair share of times too. She wasn't a priss, she was just misunderstood.
Rebecca took me to her colony and introduced me to everyone she knew. After a few weeks of living with her and her parents, I became accustomed to living life in the bunker.
For being stranded on a frozen planet, things weren't so bad.
