The cold winds of Copper 9 are no joke. They can get up to speeds between 20 MPH - 56 MPH which is pretty damn fast. They could knock any disassembly drone clean out of the sky with no problems. That's what happened to me even with my special abilities.

My wings have different modes unlike the normal disassembly drone with one. Mine can adjust to different weather, propel myself so I can fly fast, and make tighter turns with more agility. Unfortunately, no special speed or agility was able to help me against the rapid winds.

"Ugh..." I slowly sat up. Multiple errors of either overheating or system damage showed up on my visor, but I just pushed them away.

I hate that the only way that we can survive is off of killing. Like why does it have to involve death? Worker drones aren't even harmful, they're drones too and we're forced to kill then to survive.

V and J have no problem mercilessly killing them with no mind, but I can't just turn off my emotions and zone out, no... I feel it. I can feel their pain and it hurts. Their screams... the gore... it's too much. Way too much.

N dislikes killing too, but he manages. I can't at all. The only time I really kill is when I go into Killer Mode and that's very rare. My oil levels have to be critically low for that to happen. Thank god I'm fine right now.

Usually the first few alarms and warnings are enough to let me know that-

"Shit..." I could feel my hands exchanging for my claws without my doing. "Shit shit shit!" Without my control, I slowly started to turn into Killer Mode.

I... I thought I had more time! Fuck...

[N's POV]

I yawned and got ready for sleep. The sun slowly rose in the sky as I wrapped my tail around a pipe in the ceiling of the corpse wall and wrapped my wings around my body.

I was about to go into sleep mode when I heard a rustling outside the spire. I opened my wings slightly to peek out when I saw a venomous L staring at me with slit eyes and a horrific grin plastered on his face.

"AH! L! You scared me!" I stared at him and he just laughed. Cackled, manically.

"COME HERE!"

Suddenly, L lunged at me at top speed, tackling me into the icy snow below. "Ow! AH! L! STOP!" But he didn't stop... he couldn't.

[L's POV]

The more oil I consumed the more crazy I got. The taste was sweet and pungent. Incredible...

I couldn't control my body. I couldn't control my mind. All I thought about was the HUNGER.

I could see N's motionless body, but there was nothing anyone could do about it.

"What the- what happened here?" J stalked over, an annoyed glare on her visor.

I stared at her with narrowed slits as she stood with her hands on her hips. "Well?"

Is she really that stupid? Why isn't she running? There's nothing I can do now-

And then J was gone. She put up way more of a fight than N, but she was still no match. An easy kill. An amazing feast.

Lastly, V arrived. "Robo-Jesus L..." V looked intrigued and proud at first, until she realized both N and J weren't coming back. I think she even would've applauded me if they were worker drones just based on how brutally I killed them.

I stumbled towards her. Overheating was long gone, but the hunger remained. The stench of oil and the look of fear on her face was incredible at this very moment. I don't think I've ever seen a murderer like V look so scared before.

"You... killed them... L... just calm down... we can talk about this... you're Killer-self with calm down in a few minutes... you should just sit dow-"

The last of the three. The final. Dead.

A grin rested on my face as I dragged each one of the murder drones corpses to Door 1. I gently knocked on the door before hiding along the exterior wall. No cameras. How dumb.

"What- well who killed them?"

"I don't know, Mr. Doorman. They just showed up here! Whatever killed them just left them here..."

Silence. Footsteps. Now.

I lunged forward, swiping off both of their heads like butter. The other WDF workers who sat calmly inside the door stared in shock and fear at the trick. "RUN!" "AHH!" "WHAT THE-"

They all died pretty quickly. They ran, but they have literally no survival skills. It took me less than an hour to hunt down every drone in that stupid little bunker and mercilessly murder them.

Ironic... isn't it? That I'm the one with suddenly no emotions... the one brutally murdering everyone...

And then... it was gone. The hunger... off like a switch.

I stared at my oil-stained claws in horror.

"No... no no NO! I did it again... another squad... another team... I can't stop... HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP?!"

I slowly pulled out my gun.

This is how.

With one quick blow to the core. All the pain, the suffering... the carnage... was over.

All that was left... was just silence.
