──────── ⋆⭒˚。⋆yesterday, we arrived in austria, eager to explore its breathtaking landscapes. the air was crisp and fresh, and the snow-covered mountains created a postcard-perfect backdrop.
the boys—zayn, louis, liam, and niall—had their plans for the day, filled with sightseeing and perhaps some skiing. but harry and i craved something different, something a bit more adventurous.
we decided to rent a snowmobile and carve our own path through the pristine snow.
"this is gonna be fucking sick," harry grinned as we donned our helmets and climbed onto the snowmobile.
the machine roared to life beneath us, and we shot off into the vast white expanse, laughter bubbling up inside us as the thrill of speed took hold.
the wind whipped against our faces, cold but invigorating. we weaved between trees and over hills, the snow crunching beneath the treads of the snowmobile. it felt like we were the only two people in the world, lost in a winter wonderland.
"this is amazing!" i shouted over the roar of the engine.
"i know, right?" harry yelled back, his eyes shining with excitement.
but then, in a split second, everything changed. we hit a patch of ice, and the snowmobile veered wildly. harry tried to regain control, but it was too late.
he slammed on the brakes too hard, and the machine skidded. time seemed to slow as we were thrown from the snowmobile. i felt the impact like a sledgehammer, and everything went black.
when i came to, the world was eerily silent except for the soft whisper of falling snow. pain throbbed through my body, but i forced myself to move, to check on harry. he was lying a few feet away, his eyes open but dazed, tears streaming down his face.
"harry, are you okay?" i croaked, my voice trembling.
"i... i don't know," he whispered, his voice breaking. "i can't move."
panic surged through me, and i started to cry. the sight of harry so vulnerable, so unlike his usual self, was almost too much to bear. despite my own pain, i managed to crawl over to him.
"we need to get you to a hospital," i said, my voice firm despite the fear coursing through me. "i'll drive. just hang on, okay?"
harry nodded weakly, and with every ounce of strength i had, i helped him to the snowmobile. it was a struggle, but somehow, we made it. i climbed into the driver's seat, my hands shaking as i gripped the controls. i had to stay calm. i had to get us help.
the ride to the hospital felt like a nightmare. every bump and jolt sent waves of pain through harry, and his groans tore at my heart.
finally, after what felt like an eternity, we arrived. the medical staff rushed out, taking harry from my arms and whisking him away.
"please, help him," i begged, tears streaming down my face.
"we'll take care of him," one of the doctors assured me, disappearing through the doors.
i was left in the waiting room, my mind racing with fear and guilt. why did we have to go on that snowmobile? why didn't we stick with the others? time dragged on, each minute stretching into an hour. finally, a doctor emerged, his expression serious but calm.
"how is he?" i asked, my voice barely more than a whisper.
"he's stable," the doctor said. "he needed twenty stitches, but he's going to be okay. he's a very lucky young man."
