after a particularly intense dance rehearsal and our intense conversation, madeline and i were heading back to her place, our muscles aching from the workout.

we were now catching our breath and talking about our upcoming performances when she casually mentioned, " oh, by the way, my boyfriend josh is coming over tonight. i really want you to meet him."

i nearly tripped over my own feet. "boyfriend? since when? and why am i only hearing about this now?"

she shrugged nonchalantly. "we've been together for a few months. i didn't think it was that big of a deal."

my eyes widened in shock. "a few months? madeline emma white, you've been hiding this from me?!?!? i'm about to scream!!!!"

she laughed, clearly enjoying my reaction. "it's not that big of a deal. but if you're going to act like this, i might just have to get a restraining order against you."

i grinned, shaking my head. "a restraining order? don't tempt me. but seriously, i'd love to meet him. maybe harry can come over too?"

her eyes lit up. "harry? that sounds like a fucking double date to me! just time to get myla with niall."

i pulled out my phone and dialed harry's number. as he answered, insaid, " hey baby, i just found out madeline has a boyfriend, and he's coming over tonight. i thought it would be great if you joined us too."

harry's voice was warm and amused. "sure angel that sounds like fun. i haven't met madeline before, so it'll be nice to finally put a face to the name."

when we arrived at madeline's place, i was still processing the surprise of her boyfriend. soon enough, josh arrived, and my jaw nearly hit the floor.

he was a tall, athletic guy with a commanding presence, dressed in a sleek leather jacket and jeans. he looked like he could step right out of a blockbuster action movie.

"hey babe," mads greeted with a grin, "this is josh, my boyfriend. josh, this is amélie."

josh extended his hand with a warm smile. "nice to meet you, amélie. i've heard a lot about you."

i shook his hand, still a bit stunned. "nice to meet you too, josh. so, what do you do?"

his smile widened. "im a stunt coordinator. i work on film sets, helping choreograph and make sure action scenes go right ."

my eyes widened in genuine amazement. "a stunt coordinator? that's incredible! i wasn't expecting that at all."

he chuckled. "yeah, it's a pretty exciting job. i met my maddie when she auditioned for a role in one of the films i was working on. she was fantastic, and we hit it off."

mads jumped in, clearly proud. "he's being modest. he's an absolute daredevil. he's climbed buildings and performed some insane stunts."

i looked at him with a joke prepared in my head . "wow , so you're basically a real-life action hero.  i mean purrrr joshman. "

he shrugged with a grin. "it has its perks. but enough about me. how did you and your boyfriend meet?"

just then, harry arrived, slipping his arm around my waist as he greeted everyone. " hello there angel girl," he said, his voice warm. "hi, madeline and josh. nice to finally meet you."

madeline looked pleasantly surprised as she shook harry's hand. "nice to meet you too. amélie has told me a lot about you."

harry smiled, his arm still comfortably around my waist. "all good things i hope."

josh laughed. "i was just asking how use two met. my maddie told me you're both from X factor so i know that but i'd love to hear the full story."

harry looked at me with a fond smile. "well, we met before the auditions on X Factor. neither of us made it solo, but they put us together in a band. you might have heard of it, we're part of one direction."

josh's eyes widened in surprise. "wait, you're part of one direction? how didn't i notice! "

i nodded, smiling. "yep, that's us. you could say it  was quite a ride. sure we didn't make it as solo artists, but the bands taken off in a big way."

mads turned to harry, clearly impressed. "that's fucking amazing. i have to say, you're making a great impression. you're  much more normal in person than i expected!"

harry grinned and gave me a gentle squeeze. "im glad to hear that. i like to meet the people who are important to angel."

as the evening continued, we all relaxed and enjoyed each other's company.

josh shared thrilling stories from his stunt work, including his wildest stunts and craziest film experiences.

harry and i reminisced about our X Factor days, the band, and the ups and downs of our journey. mads listened intently, clearly enjoying the lively conversation.

at one point, josh asked harry, "so, how do you manage to keep your relationship with amélie balanced with everything else?"

harry looked at me with a wavering smile and answered, "it's all about supporting each other. we both have crazy schedules, but we always make time for each other."

mads nodded, clearly impressed. "that's really sweet. you two make a great pair. if i'm not at this pairs wedding then shoot me. soulmates. match made in heaven. "

the evening was filled with laughter, good food, and great company. by the end of the night, i was thrilled to have met josh and see him hit it off with harry.

ha that's funny, josh is female madeline and harry is female me. no wait that's weird we're dating the male version of ourselves...?

despite the initial shock, the evening turned out to be an unforgettable blend of surprises and new connections.

mads boyfriend was every bit as impressive as she'd described, and harry's charm ensured he made a lasting impression on everyone.
