McGee walked into work, his focus on his phone. He walked to his desk and let his backpack fall off his shoulder as he finished his text.
"Who are you texting, McMagic Fingers?" DiNozzo tore McGee's phone out of his hand and started scrolling through it.
"Who is Y/N?" He asked in a sing-songy tone.
"No one," McGee said quickly as he tried to get his phone back.
"Your conversation goes on for days!" DiNozzo laughed.
"Give me my phone back, Tony," McGee said. The two played Keep Away with his phone, unaware of the audience.
"What are you two doing?" Ziva asked. They turned around to see Ziva and Gibbs watching them.
"Tony stole my phone," McGee said but was cut off by DiNozzo.
"McRomeo's got a girlfriend!"
"Give him his phone back," Gibbs sighed.
"You have a girlfriend, McGee?" Ziva asked.
McGee tore his phone out of DiNozzo's hand. "Not that it's any of your business," McGee sighed, "but yes, I'm seeing someone."
"That's great," Ziva smiled.
"Good for you, Tim," Gibbs nodded before walking away and going to get a coffee.
"Tell us about her," Ziva said as she jogged over to his desk.
"No," he said as he instantly threw his phone in his backpack and sat down.
"Come on, McNicholas Sparks," DiNozzo smirked. "Tell us all about the new leading lady in your life."
"I'd really rather not," McGee sighed.
"Where'd you meet her?" Ziva asked.
"When'd you meet her?" Tony asked. "How'd you meet her? Better yet, how'd you convince her to go out with you?"
Gibbs walked by and smacked the back of DiNozzo's head. "It would be a bigger surprise if you had a girlfriend, DiNozzo."
"That's not. . ." DiNozzo stuttered but McGee and Ziva gave him a look.
"Where'd you meet your girl, McGee?" Gibbs asked.
McGee glanced at DiNozzo before sighing and answering his boss. "I actually met her online."
"I didn't take you for an online dating kind of guy, McGee," Ziva said.
"It wasn't like that," McGee said, covering it up by clearing his throat.
"You met her through your online role-playing game didn't you, Elf Lord?" DiNozzo asked, struggling to stop his laugh. He tried to hide his face as he went to his desk.
"Hey," McGee snapped, "Y/N isn't some dweep, okay? She's actually a level 7 warrior princess. We met up every night for two weeks before we went on an actual date. Ever since our first date, Y/N and I have had a set date every week that we're not working on a case.."
"What does Nerdy Date Night usually entail?" DiNozzo laughed. "Dinner and sword fighting in the park?"
"No," McGee elongated. "We order takeout and play our game together."
"Your date night is playing a video game?" DiNozzo scoffed. "Come on, Tim. That's pathetic. Who wants to spend their Friday date night playing a video game?"
"It's how we met," McGee defended himself. "It's how we bonded. We enjoy it."
"Well, I think that's great," Ziva said. "I'd love to meet her sometime."
"So would I," DiNozzo chuckled. "I'd love to see her and try to convince her she could do better. Actually, based on where you found her, maybe you are the one who could do better."
"I'll have you know," McGee scoffed, "Y/N is gorgeous."
"Oh really?" DiNozzo scoffed. McGee smirked as he pulled up a picture on his computer. DiNozzo and Ziva shared a smirk before running over and looking at McGee's computer screen.
"Wow," Ziva laughed. "I have to admit. You were right, McGee. Y/N is gorgeous."
"That's for sure," DiNozzo said, still staring at the screen. "Don't let her go. Ever."
"Y/N and I have only been going out for three months," McGee stuttered.
"Marry that girl," DiNozzo cut him off. "Marry that level three sorceress."
"She's a level seven warrior princess," McGee sighed.
"Whatever," Tony waved his hand in dismissal. "If this girl is willing to spend date night playing a video game and dresses up to go to some live role-play event, don't ever let her go."
As Tony continued to ramble on about why McGee should marry Y/N, Ziva sighed and slowly put her forehead on McGee's shoulder.
"I am sorry, McGee," Ziva sighed as she lifted her head. "Put his juvenile reason aside and he's got a point. Y/N seems perfect for you."
"I think she is," McGee chuckled.
"Umm, Agent McGee?" Dornegut said slowly. "There's someone here to see you."
He moved to reveal Y/N standing shyly behind him.
"Y/N?" McGee jumped up. "What are you doing here?"
"I was in the neighborhood," she shrugged. "I thought I'd stop by and see if you wanted to go to lunch. You're not in the middle of a case, are you?"
"No!" DiNozzo yelled as he ran over. "He's not. We're not. Feel free to take him for as long as you want. An hour. A night. A morning. A lifetime."
DiNozzo cringed when Gibbs walked by and smacked the back of his head.
"Does he always do that?" Y/N leaned over and whispered to McGee.
"Only when DiNozzo is being an ass," McGee shrugged.
"So, I'm guessing a lot?" Y/N chuckled.
"I like her," Ziva laughed. Y/N and McGee shared a look as the team laughed.
"Me too," Gibbs said as he watched the two.
"So you're okay with Y/N and I going to lunch?" McGee asked.
"Take your time," Gibbs nodded. He paused before adding, "Take care of her."
McGee glanced at Y/N before turning back to Gibbs. "Believe me," he chuckled, "I plan to."
