McGee laughed before texting his girlfriend back. He didn't look up from his phone when the elevator dinged and the doors opened. He walked to his desk, still texting her.

"What's got you all smiley, McGee?" Ziva asked as he made his way to his desk.

"Y/N and I are arguing over Halloween costumes."

"Didn't you two go as your online game characters last year?"

"We did," he chuckled. "It was three months after we started dating."

"Right," she chuckled. "It's the night you two had extra fun."

"Yes," McGee smirked. "Last Halloween was the night we made our relationship official."

"So what do you want to go as this year?" Ziva asked, changing the subject.

"I'm thinking Luke and Leia."

"Wait," Ziva cut him off. "Aren't they technically siblings? That's kind of a weird costume for a couple."

"Well. . . Technically. . ."

"What does Y/N want to go as?" Ziva chuckled.

"She's not sure," McGee shrugged as he sat down. "She's named a few movie characters. Her favorites right now are Buttercup and Westley from The Princess Bride and Danny and Sandy from Grease."

Ziva smirked before quickly typing into her computer. "Danny from Grease looks cool. But there's something about Westley all dressed in black. Out of the two, which one are you leaning toward?"

McGee smirked as he jumped back up and jogged over to her desk. "Look up Sandy at the end of the movie."

She sent him a knowing look before quickly typing it in. When the image popped up, she didn't turn toward him. Instead, she laughed as she held her hand out, palm up.

"As much as Y/N and I love The Princess Bride," McGee chuckled, "I think I'm gonna have to go with Grease."

"You could not pull off Westley or Danny," DiNozzo smirked as he joined the conversation. "Y/N on the other hand. . . She would make the perfect Buttercup. Or Sandy. Ohhhh. She'd be the peeeerrrrffffect Sandy. Sweet Utah girl turned sexy wrapped in leather biker."

"And that," McGee said pointing at DiNozzo," is why I refuse to bring Y/N to the NCIS Halloween party."

A little while later, Ziva noticed that McGee seemed to be lost in thought. When DiNozzo left, she walked over to McGee.

"What's going on in that smart face of yours?"

"Head," McGee corrected.

"Right, head," Ziva repeated. "What's going on in that smart head of yours?"

"It's just. . . Halloween and. . . Y/N."

"Halloween makes you think of your girlfriend?"

"No," I sighed. "Well, sorta. It's just. . . Halloween is an important holiday for us. I can't stop thinking about what I can do to make this one just as good as last year."

"I think all she wants is to spend it with you," Ziva tried to give him advice.

"Or maybe she's expecting something kinky."

"Y/N's not that kind of girl," McGee instantly cut DiNozzo off as he glared at him.

"Come on, McVirgin," DiNozzo teased. "Let me help you."

"I'm not a virgin," McGee snapped. He cleared his throat and forced himself to calm down. "My relationship with Y/N doesn't concern you, Tony."

"I think we both know that between the two of us, I'm more successful with the ladies."
