Chapter 8 Live a little

Jill's Pov
My alarm blares in my face and I groan.
I really shouldn't have stayed up late reading wattpad. I fumble my hand over the button to shut the dam thing up.
What the fart? I walk over to my laptop to close it. Where's my phone?!?! I search my bed and desk and anywhere else in my room I can think. I need to find it to call Jane since I forgot to yesterday.
Oh.. yesterday.
I flop  onto my bed in a face plant.
Whyyy life??? Whyyyyyyyy?
I shower, do my hair care routine, get changed  and look in the mirror on my dresser. Im wearing a light pink hoodie and leggings with cats riding rocket-ships (don't judge me it's literalllly just school)

I look out the window and see that it's pouring outside. Seriously? Could this day get any worse? I grab an umbrella before I leave.
(I walk to school it only takes about 8 minutes)

"Jill?? You forgot to call me and you didn't even text"
"Don't tell me you did homework the whole entire night?" Jane scowls.
"Well I.."
"Remember? I told you to live a little"
"I definitely did" I reply thinking about being trapped in that stupid ass janitors closet.
"Are you saying you did to the living a little or homeworked a little?"
"Both actually." Which is true.
"Spill!"
I swear she knows me too well.
"I kinda sorta tried to leave detention I didn't have my phone because I accidentally left it in the classroom cuz I wasn't thinking straight but me and jack "
"You and Jack!" Jane  erupts into a fit of giggles
"Ahhhahaha you not thinking straight all your energy focused on him it's too cute!"
"Oh my god stop! It's not like that!" I frown.
"Sure." she rolls her eyes.
I shoot her the middle finger.
"Okay, okay, relax. Continue"
When I get to the part where we got stuck in the janitors closet together she literally flips out
"Jane please! It's not like that."
"Yes but people do stuff in the janitors closet" she grins
"It wasn't dirty Jane we just got stuck!"
"Right, got stuck together for how long?"
"Like I said only two hours"
"Yeah cuz that's not a lot" 
"Yes I know. it was fucking boring"
You could've had sex to pass the time"
"No way in hell is that ever gonna happen
We're mortal enemies."
"True" Jane finally agrees.
I make sure to leave out the part where I fall asleep fricken on top of him.
I can't believe I did that.
I hope my boney elbows were uncomfortable for him.
I finish the story with us getting caught and the  fact the janitor was so kind and let us go without telling.
I don't think she needs to know about him lifting me up to reach the window trying to get  my phone back  either.
For some reason, my amazing but, also stupid best friend, ships me with my worst enemy. Actually a lotta people do. it's because of our names you know? Jack and Jill they think that makes us a cute couple or something.
but aren't Jack and Jill siblings?
"Wow jill I can't believe you did that you really did take up my advice."
"I know" I smile at her the bell rings for first period
"I'm proud of you! Even if you only sorta skipped detention!" she yells at me through the now extremely crowded hallway of hundreds of students trying to get to there classes.

I arrive in class just as the national anthem starts to play. jack fortunately isn't in my home room thank god. Then there's a whole bunch of announcements about all the clubs and sports there are today.
"A reminder There's volleyball practice monday morning at 6:30 don't be late!" the announcer girl says all cheery. (Theres a club for being a school announcer too) "And finally we would like to thank you all for the wonderful donations to We Eliminate Hunger we as a school have collected over two thousand cans and boxes of food."
"Have a good day to all staff and students."

But then, of course, two minutes later, as the teacher is taking attendance, because of yesterday there's an announcement.

"Jackson Miller and Jillian Miller" the front desk lady coughs "pardon me ravenwood please report to the principals office immediately."
"I repeat Jackson and Jillian to the principals office thank you!"

Jillian Miller?? What the hell? Jacks going to bug me so much about this I groan internally and get up from my seat to leave trying to ignore the stares of all the other students some snickering or saying "oohh someone's in trouble"

I knock on the door once and it immediately opens.
jackass is already there. His feet are up on the table as he leans back in his seat. His golden eyes meet mine for a second.
I'm so pissed at him for this all of this.
I take a seat next to him.
"Feet off the table mr Miller" the principal Mr. Shobert says sternly. Jack removes them and slides them back under the table while he's looking down I give him the finger under the table.
"Thank you.  now you two should know that it's against school rules to leave in the middle of detention."
" it's common sense but, I'm afraid some students are lacking it." he glances at Jack.

"Since this detention was for.." Mr Shobert shuffles though some notes.

I feel pressure on my foot and look down to see Jackson stepping on it. I glare at him and he smirks.

"Talking in class."
"I think it's a fair punishment  to have you two make up for the detention you missed."
I knew this was coming. I mean they couldn't suspend us and plus only the janitor (mom and Jane won't tell) knew about us getting stuck in the closet together.
"Yeah okay is that all?" Jack asks probably annoyed at getting another detention.

"I'm not done yet, you will make up for the detention you missed today and also have detention for the next week

And Jackson your five more detentions will be on top of the two you already have. "

How could this day get any worse?
Detention with my worst enemy for something I didn't even do in the first place and maybe I did try to skip it in the first place it was still because I didn't actually do anything wrong at all.

"Remember this goes on your permanent  record so going forward I hope to see a change in your behaviour."

I nod and jackass just sighs like he doesn't care and has been though this a million times
This is only my second time ever getting detention!
"That will be all
You can head back to class."

Jacks Pov
Me and Jill walk out and she looks absolutely devastated it's on our permanent  record. I could care less about it. It's cute no I mean ridiculous how much she cares about that kinda stuff. Of course I'm mad I have fricken detention today and all of next week but at least for more than half of it, it won't be boring because I can annoy Jill.
"aren't you excited? We have more quality time together!" I smirk at her.
She rolls her eyes and keeps walking ignoring me.
"Hey Jillian Miller!  I tease her
It was hilarious when I heard it on the announcements almost as if she was my wife! I mean or related to me like can you imagine if we jack and Jill were siblings? And now I can tease her about it.

She turns red like a tomato she's so pissed at me. "Don't fucking call me that I'll never be a Miller if anybody in your family is anything like you!" She spits
(Sure you will. think what you want Jill think what you want)

Well I think you lucked out because I can assure you that no one else is like me I'm one of a kind!"

She storms off probably because so can't think of something better to say to me haha I win.

"Jillian Miller ha what a sight"

Omg i love they're arguments so much!!
What should I make happen next detention? Also plz vote I'd really appreciate it.
