They went to the tournament in USA and just as planned focused on nothing other than the tournament itself. They played well in the matches at the start but their form was starting to fall until the end. They ended up losing matches at the end of the tournament.
After the loss all the members started to practice more than they did before and finally won the tournament in a neck to neck competition. They were still upset about their falling wickets and their struggles in making the runs but apart from that it was all right.
Virat, Rohit, Hardik, Abhishek and Suhani approached Rishabh the day after the tournament ended. Virat messaged him and called him to his room. Rishabh was aware that there would be Rohit and Virat talking to him but as he entered the room, he saw other people also. Sitting there waiting for him.
"hi." Rishabh said in a small voice. Entering the room, he could feel that the atmosphere was too tense for this to be any normal conversation. So, he sat on the chair opposite to rohit and let the storm arrive. Suhani got up from where she was sitting on the bed and locked the room.
"Hello rishabh, how are you?" Hardik enquired. He wanted to start a conversation, but the tension in him made his voice sound horse. "I am fine bhaiya." "you don't look fine at all. you can share whatever it is with us rishu." Abhishek said. "it's just the tournament tiredness maybe." Rishabh replied.
"you don't want to share anything. I get it, but we need to share something with you." Suhani started speaking. "what?" Rishabh asked, curious at the sentence. "you need to answer a question for us first. Did you or did you not receive any letters recently?" she asked. "what letters?" "Any type of anonymous letter." "No, I did not. Why?"
Suhani looked at virat to ask him to tell Rishabh about everything because this was a bomb. And they needed to be careful with it. So, virat handed over the file that they had created since the start of everything to Rishabh. They saw his expressions change as he read through the file.
Of course, Rishabh knew something about what happened with Ishan and he would have tried to understand the reason too. No matter what a person was expecting this wasn't it. Everyone thought that this was about that fight with the management but the truth was totally out of the box. Nothing could have prepared a person for this.
Getting sacked because of politics is one thing but getting sacked because you were a part of some team looked like some kind of personal grudge. Yes, that is exactly what it looked like. This wasn't just on Ishan. He was also the part of the same team. So, does that mean that his fate would also take the same turn?
Rishabh was busy thinking up things. He was busy making things make sense. Too much information was dumped on him and he didn't know how to process everything. "I did not know it was so bad." He said when he decided to finally speak. "what did you imagine it to be like?" rohit questioned. "I was trying to find some information on the management about what they fought over that day and what could be done to make things better but this is some other story."
"where did you get hold of this information from?" Rishabh asked. "we collected it. the only thing that lead to this was the information about people who left cricket in past few years without a proper reason. All of these people connected back to that under nineteen team. The team you were a part of." Suhani replied.
"do you remember something happening? During the practice? During the tournament? Did you'll do something to upset someone?" Virat asked curious. "I don't remember anything of that sort. We had practices but there was nothing unusual about it. I don't remember any serious fight. Nothing happened."
"what did you'll do on the tour a part from practices?" hardik asked. "we did absolutely nothing. Everyone was new to this lifestyle at that time and we were too scared to break any rules. We practiced and came back to our dorms to eat and sleep ritually."
